  • amazing movie, I think it must be sad for people like michael holding to see their once unbeatable west indies team now sooo low in their ranks :( . I want them to come back again!

  • plz can u share the names of the tracks used in this trailer

  • being a massive WI cricket i eagerly watched this last week...sorry to say while enjoyable, totally one-sided, blatantly biased and was tempted to stop watching after their reflection of the Indian series of 76/77. Enjoyable doco...good for people who know nothing about cricket or like to remember with rose coloured glasses. . And for the record, i do believe WI had no great fast bowlers when the rules were changed AGAINST the English bowlers after Bodyline.

  • How I miss those days when the Windies scared all the other teams shitless whenever they faced them.

  • Class

  • Not terribly keen on cricket but I look forward to seeing this! The social/cultural aspects are compelling!

  • This is "THE BEST" documentary I've ever seen based on Cricket.

It gave me experience to watch a war movie based on a true story. Amazing background music... gre8 cinematography... 'Wow' editing...n really good use of photographs.

Hatz of to the guys who create this and SALUTE to West-Indies team who were unbeaten for 15 years... Don't 've word to describe my feelings.

but I can surely say that.."IT"S IS MUST WATCH FOR EVERY TRUE CRICKET LOVER!"

  • Someone help nowwwwwww please what is the song at 0:57

  • @sahaiscool : that song is there in the documentary, there are couple of more songs too.. which are really very good as this one.

d song which based on Viv Richards is awesome.

Plz watch d muvi dude... u wud luv d bg score n all songs

  • i stopped watc hing cricket when the english changed the rules to stop the west indes from winning

  • @salamattamalas I think it was the Australians who really pushed to change the bouncer rules. But the WIndies stopped winning because they stopped producing great cricketers, not because of any rule changes. Shame because I always loved to watch them play and now they can't even produce a decent wicket let alone a decent team.

  • So excited to watch this - An Indo-Canadian cricket fan.

  • Oh ! Wow !

  • Superb soundtrack

  • AWESOME documentary!

  • Possibly the best sports documentary Ive ever seen. One ESPNS Black Magic MIGHT be better than this IMO.

  • they made Tony Greig grovel

  • i want to watch can any 1 tell where i can watch online plzzzzzz

  • @roovalekar

  • I fell in love with Cricket watching the West Indies in the 70's and 80's , they made the game exciting !!

  • My heroes! During summer holidays at school I watched these boys destroy England but we bloody loved em!

  • With the extraordinary skills they always possessed combined with the enthusiasm and the colors when the Caribbeans are on song cricket can't get better than that ..

  • Truly hats off the the west indies cricketer in those past years, they were truly unbeatable

  • This team under Clive Lloyd was greatest ever for the reason that they gave balck people their pride back in white majority countries. Prior to the 1976 England series back people were treated as if they were not human. Apartheid in South Africa was at peak, even in UK they spoke rubbish when it comes to talking about colored people. This team changed the world forever, beyond the fields of cricket.

  • Plz release it in India also...

  • if you are a west indian you are just instantly cool , its like your born with it

  • is the official 45000 viewer

  • i wish i was born 30 years ago to see all this happen!!

  • too bad cricket ain't like it used to be....

  • and when is this releasing in India!?!!

  • I feel sorry for the WI cricket. I've only heard how good they were in their pomp. Wish the board get their senses back and promote cricket again.

  • Oh yes, me too.

  • jesus christ i can't wait to see this....

  • cant wait!

  • Can't wait to watch this movie. The greatest sports team ever created.

Cricket is great, Cricket is better when the West Indies are on fire, hope this film is shown throughout the islands and inspires the people to take it seriously again.

  • I fucking love MY WI!!!

  • Pace gurus!! I wish they can come back and bowl to the best batsmen these days. What a contest it will be.

  • The West indies were truly a legendary team,.After this era of the 70's and 80's.They had Ambrose and Walsh. For me the real decline began after 1996 world cup.Which they truly should have won.Only Brian Lara carried the torch onwards.I dont think the West indies cricket will ever fully be back on the big stage.Times have changed,.American sports are dominating the youth there now.People have lost interest,Such a shame to see so many empty seats when a team is touring the carribean these days.

  • the rise of great Caribbean culture and cricket were together!

  • legendary stuff ... i wish the legacy of fast bowlers remains as it was :D

  • cant wait!!!

  • DVD Release Date: 6 Jun 2011

  • ah I want to see this!! Does anyone know if it is getting a wider release?

  • Legends. They made very little money from int. cricket then. Some of them were tempted to play in World Series South Africa.

  • Is that Tony Greig at the beginning of the trailer?

  • @TheLeoAfricanus oh yes. Totally humiliated is the only way to describe what happened to him with that tour

  • @zx80user Indeed...

  • @TheLeoAfricanus Yes it is.

  • extraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadinary man

  • present day west indian cricket makes me sad :(

hard to digest the fall of an empire that ruled cricketing world for so long...

  • @skv84blr revolution cant be made into a film, shame on them to exploit such a rich treasure of history. anyway i heard the film was a little bit exaggerated,

  • empire of cricket is much better, only sad thing is the end, and where are they now???

  • would love to see the entire documentary .......any idea if its online or on dvd anywhere?

  • @alamander1 Its due to be out on dvd early next year officially, no date as yet? But no doubt it will be online at an earlier time! Cant wait to see it! The good old days!!!

  • Shame i missed this @ the LFF...Looks well worth watching!!

I hope it gets a wider release...

  • I saw this by chance last Tuesday and its incredible.

A great documentary if your sports fan, music fan - great Reggae Soundtrack, a fan of history especially Black History and West Indian culture. I'd love to know how they roped in so many of the great West Indian players.
