amazing movie, I think it must be sad for people like michael holding to see their once unbeatable west indies team now sooo low in their ranks :( . I want them to come back again!
being a massive WI cricket i eagerly watched this last week...sorry to say while enjoyable, totally one-sided, blatantly biased and was tempted to stop watching after their reflection of the Indian series of 76/77. Enjoyable doco...good for people who know nothing about cricket or like to remember with rose coloured glasses. . And for the record, i do believe WI had no great fast bowlers when the rules were changed AGAINST the English bowlers after Bodyline.
This is "THE BEST" documentary I've ever seen based on Cricket.
It gave me experience to watch a war movie based on a true story. Amazing background music... gre8 cinematography... 'Wow' editing...n really good use of photographs.
Hatz of to the guys who create this and SALUTE to West-Indies team who were unbeaten for 15 years... Don't 've word to describe my feelings.
but I can surely say that.."IT"S IS MUST WATCH FOR EVERY TRUE CRICKET LOVER!"
@salamattamalas I think it was the Australians who really pushed to change the bouncer rules. But the WIndies stopped winning because they stopped producing great cricketers, not because of any rule changes. Shame because I always loved to watch them play and now they can't even produce a decent wicket let alone a decent team.
With the extraordinary skills they always possessed combined with the enthusiasm and the colors when the Caribbeans are on song cricket can't get better than that ..
This team under Clive Lloyd was greatest ever for the reason that they gave balck people their pride back in white majority countries. Prior to the 1976 England series back people were treated as if they were not human. Apartheid in South Africa was at peak, even in UK they spoke rubbish when it comes to talking about colored people. This team changed the world forever, beyond the fields of cricket.
Can't wait to watch this movie. The greatest sports team ever created.
Cricket is great, Cricket is better when the West Indies are on fire, hope this film is shown throughout the islands and inspires the people to take it seriously again.
The West indies were truly a legendary team,.After this era of the 70's and 80's.They had Ambrose and Walsh. For me the real decline began after 1996 world cup.Which they truly should have won.Only Brian Lara carried the torch onwards.I dont think the West indies cricket will ever fully be back on the big stage.Times have changed,.American sports are dominating the youth there now.People have lost interest,Such a shame to see so many empty seats when a team is touring the carribean these days.
@skv84blr revolution cant be made into a film, shame on them to exploit such a rich treasure of history. anyway i heard the film was a little bit exaggerated,
@alamander1 Its due to be out on dvd early next year officially, no date as yet? But no doubt it will be online at an earlier time! Cant wait to see it! The good old days!!!
I saw this by chance last Tuesday and its incredible.
A great documentary if your sports fan, music fan - great Reggae Soundtrack, a fan of history especially Black History and West Indian culture. I'd love to know how they roped in so many of the great West Indian players.
