  • Respected by the people, unlike most police forces in Asia. It's not about race, country it's about the rule of law!!!

  • Great clip and the Royal Hong Kong ( or Hong Kong since becoming part of China ) Police Force is known as a professional force. I know the uniforms here may be a bit old fashioned but they still look great; and in particular I love the Policewomen and how they are dressed in their stylish pale yellow / beige short sleeved " bush jacket's " and front centre pleated skirt's ( such as at 0:17 ). Plus the use of police dogs; etc. Regards.

  • What the inspection song used in 8.10 Minute anyone can tell me thanks :D

  • The 'Royal' title will once more return to the Land of Hong Kong to honour ALL Hong Kongers!

ONE DAY.. Hong Kong will fly the one and only flag of Hong Kong!

    God Save the Queen,

    God Save Hong Kong,

    An Independent Future,

    An Independent Hong Kong!

  • My Dad was in the RHKP for 20 years i am very proud of him he did a good duty to the former empire

  • Your dad is well respected in my eyes, for serving and being loyal to the British Hong Kong era. Hopefully until this day, he does not regret doing so, and opposes the currenty Chinese occupation of the corrupted Chinese Communist Regime.

My grandfather served in the Defence force tasked with Defending Hong Kong. I will NOT let the Corruptive CCP destroy Hong Kong's culture and lifeline. We are Hong Kongers! And we will fight for Freedom!

    An Independent Future,

    An Independent Hong Kong!

  • @HongKongIndependence but how?the only way i know is, to join strength with all the various anti communist group around the world.only by unite all of them into one fist, the fist will have enough power to give the ccp china a direct blow enough to cripple her power!!!

  • @mindawareness Not everything has to be with violence, but sometimes violence cannot be avoided. We must prepare for anything. Rallying others in Hong Kong is the first thing to do. We have to find those who have the same idea as us in HK. Once we rally in Hong Kong, we'll be able to protest and demonstrate. HK, being an international region, will have these movements broadcasted into the world, and gain international notice.

  • Is it a passing out parade or just pruely a Anniversary representative parade?

  • I agree with alvindurochermtl that the Police band played much better music before the handover. After 1 July 1997, all they play are those non-melodic, ill-harmonized 'patriotic' Communist marches. Now I have to go to Edinburgh tatoo in August fo get my 'fix' of marching and brass band music.

  • While no longer Royal, HKP still serves HK citizens with pride and honour

  • Long live Rhkp

  • The proper marches the band played in those days were much better than the crappy patriotic Chinese marches they play nowadays.

  • British Hong Kong Royal Police forces!!!

    Salute to the British Empire!!!

  • who was the RO?

  • wow.. english commands?

  • Yes, the system of police was and still is under the british model. That's why the commands are in english. :)

  • still is today

  • Yup :)

  • And British Officers are still around too:)

  • I marched up and down there in Wong Chuk Hang in the early 80s. Bagpipes were the best to march to - Highland Laddie and the Barren Rocks of Aden, all belted with great vigour by the RHKP Band!

  • Hello,

I was one of the ACIs in 84-86.

  • HKP will forever be Royal in fact though not in name

  • Hong Kongers are proud to be under the British empire.Royal Hong Kong police was an example.

  • Wonderful! Where are they now, I wonder? I hope sitll serving the HK people in the best tradition of the RHKP.

  • Now Hkp .Handover in 1997,remember?

  • I marched there in 1974.... and it was simply marvelous! except of course for the deathly heat and humidity... best drill standard next to the Guards!

    chuck

  • That brings back a few memories. I marched on that square many times in 89-90.

  • No one. But no one - can parade like the Royal Hong Kong Police. Absolutely faultless.
