  • LOL, Fuck this treacherous douchebag! Too bad the military doesn't do with him like they are the terrorists. Nobody gives a rat's ass what the piece of shit liberty unions are saying. Doesn't matter anyway. The military will just keep lol!

  • This guy is an idiot

  • There are far too many people here who have already prejudged the inmates of Guantanamo, and are far too willing to give up on a thousand years of civilized jurisprudence just because you love playing the victim. If you give up on our traditions of truth, proof and blind justice, what exactly makes us better than the terrorists?

  • Tell the 9/11 victime that these detainees are worthy people. They are scum, and should have been executed on the spot.

  • Kunem lavit berane

  • Rep. Schiff should be waterboarded until he comes to his senses.....

  • NO!

  • HELL NO!

  • Rep. Adam Schiff is a sissy boy. Nobody treated me "nicely" at Tigerland in North Fort Polk before they dispatched me to Viet Nam. If the Islamofacisist go through what I went through I'll be reasonably happy.

  • The US Constitution is not a SUICIDE PACT. I can find nowhere in any fouding documents or founders letters where the intent was to grant equal Contitutional Rights to our enemies. British POWs held during the War of 1812 were not given the right of trial in American Courts.

  • " No PERSON shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law" It doesn't say no CITIZEN,

  • What about those evil hedge funds that want more for their own pensioners, 401Kers, and clients than Obama wants to give?

I bet you are OKEY DOKEY with depriving them of property. Right?

  • Hell no. What the Obama administration is doing is undermining our entire social structure. You don't just all of a sudden decide a contract is null and void just because you're the president. As a matter of fact, I was on the executives side of the AIG retention bonuses.

So I'm consistent, you don't break the law, and the constitution is our law. How can you be for the law in some instances and against it in others? You're the one that makes no sense and lacks consistency. Podnuh

  • ok moron

So every citizen of the world has a right to access to American courts?

What kind of an idiot are you?

OIC you are a globalist nincompoop.

Go screw yourself, your kind can't be reasoned with, ONLY defeated....which is going to happen.

  • What "kind" are you labeling me as, and I doubt very seriously you could defeat me, mentally or physically. To answer your question once again, according to the constitution " No PERSON shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law" This includes everyone in the multiverse

Why do you have such a problem with these people standing trial? If they're found guilty they'll get the death penalty

  • "Your kind" = dumbass, whining socialist douchebag who is so full of Bush Derangement Syndrome that he can no longer reason.

Person as it is used in the U.S. Constitution clearly means citizen you retard. The kind of argument you are making would get you laughed out of even a lower division Poli Sci course, let along Con Law.

Sheeeesh Einstein quit while you are behing.

  • jjr: " If they're found guilty they'll get the death penalty"

Bull. They will get treated like they deserve more rights than they should get.

  • Who are you to determine the degree of rights one human has over another?Rights should not be granted on nationality, color or gender and they're not flexible. I consider the right to a fair trial w/ attorney as human rights, not American rights. If these people are guilty, then America has enough evidence to prosecute them.If they don't then they don't have enough evidence to hold them captive 4ever.Why wouldnt they be allowed to have their day in court? We are a country of laws not lawlessness

  • jjr: Wartime is different than peacetime. Try standing on principle when ANOTHER attack occurs that we could prevent. These are based in one fact. They are terrorists. You don't find these guys hanging around at your local pool hall.

But since they have attacked others unprovoked their rights are forfiet. Rules of war kid. Learn them.

  • What evidence do you have that these people attacked anyone, boy?As far as I know the 19 people that attacked us died. Rights cannot be forfeited, even the Nazi's had their day in court, kid. What if one of these people is completely innocent of any wrongdoing? What if that person was you or your son?

BTW we have not declared war on anyone, kid. Learn the constitution, No person shall be denied the right to due process of law. NO PERSON

  • jjr: Boy? Nope. I apparently have more knowlege than you do. The Nazis also got wrung for every bit of info they had. And then were tossed to THEIR people to judge. WE DON'T BRING ANY OF THEM HERE. And if we capture them with an AK trying to shoot with a jammed gun then that really does kill any doubt.

  • You think the German people held the Nuremberg trials against Nazi war criminals?

The allies prosecuted the Nazi's, dipshit.

Why would the Nazi war criminals be "wrung for every bit of information" ? The war was over before all, but Rudolf Hess, were captured. What information could they possibly have given?

More knowledge huh? On what subject?

You can't just make shit up with me and your argument holds no water. If they were caught with an AK it should be no problem getting a conviction.

  • I heard someone say that the US should do whatever it takes to prevent another attack, that we should give up our principles if it saves one American city.

I say if we give up our morals or principles then no city in America will be worth saving.

Those that will give up liberty for security deserve neither.

  • jjr: Then you can say it on the next-and yes there will be more. These guys don't stop that easily-attack.

"Sure we lost hundreds of lives that we could have prevented but look at it like this. We have our principles. Let that provide succor as you mourn the preventable loss of so many for the sake of a terrorist...that we released. He will get his day in court. He deserves a fair trial."

I say in this case to lock em up and pull them out after danger has passed.

  • If the US gives up it's principles and moral high ground, then the US will not be worth saving. If this happens we will have become a country equivalent to the ones we claim to despise and need protection from.

You need to read some founding father material, they were well aware of how tyranny can come into existence.

Wasn't this argument over detainees standing trial? Who said they would ever be released? Unless there is no evidence, in which case they should be released, in their own country.

  • jjr: Nope they're religion is based on the extermination of infidels (that's you and me).

And those same terrorists are the one who spray kids with acid. Aside from a few grudges we are doing fine. Now if only you actually knew how they worked...

  • So theres plenty of evidence to throw them in jail for life or give them the death penalty, right?

Why not try them in America, they are much more likely to get a harsher sentence hear than anywhere else?

It looks to me like this would be the only suitable and just way to handle the prisoners.

What do you want see happen?

  • jjr, I have been reading some of your blogs. I am curious on how you feel the detainess at Gitmo should be prosecuted. Which court, tribunals or article 3?

  • I believe that the right to a fair and timely trial by jury and the right to have an attorney are not American rights, they are human rights. Once a civilization begins restricting and denying rights for non citizens, then it is only a matter of time before the same tactics are used on citizens.

  • Amen friend! Some people like yourself can write so much using so little words! Kudos!

  • jjr: "Don't tell *me* you think prison will stop them."

Incidentaly terrorists deserve to get tried by their people AKA the ones they victimized. I don't thinkl giving them a trial will do anything other than show how stupid we are to be nice to those who seek to kill us.

  • You're too stupid to even fuck with Wormer.

  • jjr: Don't pin this on me little man. I thought this convo was over.

  • jjr: Don't tell you think prison will stop them. The Shamrock, the Black Panthers, Crips, Bloods, and various other gangs have THRIVED there. And why would we want terrorists on our soil? Guess.

"Those that will give up liberty for security deserve neither."

Just occured to me that this has no application here. If we give up OUR FREEDOM for security then we deserve neither for being so stupid.

  • This is my last post since you are hopelessly retarded. Just read your incoherent post above. Its as if you learned to speak English from a retarded Chinamen. You have contradicted yourself every other comment. I am now dumber from having met you.

  • jjr: I can speak just fine. You just don't like the concept of making judgment calls.

If they are imprisoned then they aren't shooting us. They will call ALL evidence circumstancial and there you have it.

"Oh they didn't WAN'T to be in that room looking at all those maps with the red dots on them."

Sorry mack but they DON'T deserve the courtroom UNTIL they have no group/gang to go back to. It's simple to those who grasp the concept of safety first.

    Thanks for not responding.

  • Yeah

"Don't tell you think prison will stop them." Is completely coherent. People speak like that all the time.

If they live under a bridge and make up riddles for right of passage!

  • I just got done reading all your blogs on this site! I love you man, you know your shit. I think everyone should read a book called: Truth, Torture, and the American Way by Jennifer Harbury. 15 years ago her husband was captured in Guatalama and seriously tortured for 2 years, then dropped from a helicopter. HE NEVER SAID A WORD. I pray I see the day that those who authorized this torture is brough to justice, whether it is a Democat or a Republican. This goes WAY beyond politics. Serious stuff!

  • Thanks

  • jjr: Stop treating soldiers like their police officers and stop holding The CIA to your rules. Terrorists are bigger than your standard thug and a lot more rides on stopping them. They don't belong in America. They Don't deserve due process. If they are caught attacking soldiers nad their own people let their people have them. Due Process? Please do quite with your stupid ideals.

  • So you want to give them back to the people that would be far more sympathetic and likely to let them go without any punishment?

It's not like I'm saying lets turn them loose in America and let them go free. All I'm saying is that it's wrong to hold them prisoner without giving them their day in court. What are you talking about police officers for. There are rules when it comes to the CIA, they must be followed or we will end up being the exact opposite of what we claim to defend.

  • jjr: Yes courts. Led by those who don't get the rules of how things work.

Guilty and everyone safe vs innocent and a doormat?

    NO CONTEST.

  • It is childish attitudes such as yours, and I'm sad to say the last administrations, that put America in greater danger. You probably think we made friends and liberated the Iraqi people don't you?

But the reality is, every Iraqi that had a family member killed or maimed during US occupation is now standing in line to join Al Qaeda. People that think like you don't prevent terrorism you create it.

You really believe they attack us because we're rich and free don't you?

  • jjrglobal, you have done your homework! Our invasion of Iraq created more terroists than killed. Our torture and detention policy didn't help either. In 2 different press meetings that President Obama was in, both in France and Germany, the reporters were allowed to ask Obama questions, they first question from the reporters mouths of both countries asked about Gitmo. The German chancellor refused to work with bush anymore after the opening of Gitmo. bush caused SERIOUS damage to the USA.

  • I guess I would be more apt to believe that he is speaking honestly...even though he is from California.

But when I see the little Johnny Walker Lindh, from Marin County, get very sympathetic treatment from our leftist comrades, I tend to side with leaving the scumbags in Gitmo and not have some torturous reasoning for helping them out.

I mean, the liberals are interested in helping the terrorists.

Why in the HELL is that?

  • Look e5infantry, you seem to have little understanding of the document you supposedly defended when you served.

That doc is the U.S. Constitution and the rights established therein are ONLY FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS.

The "detainees" are actually enemey combatants and don't fall under the USCMJ or even the Geneva Accords.

They have ZERO protection they are trying to kill you, your family and our way of life.

    Get real.

For those who disagree, Havana is only 90 miles away.

    Go!

  • mofongo

    Get screwed.

Releasing of the Uyghur TERRORISTS who were captured in Afghanistan in 2001 is EXACTLY what team Obama has proposed.

You are either a liar or a moron, take your pick.

  • Haha. I was beginning to miss Republican scare tactics. This is silly.

NO ONE is talking about letting terrorists roam free. No one.

    The word is detainee.

If we look into the annals of history - and current events - we'll find that only the most gruesome empires keep men and women jailed without proving them guilty.

    We are better than that.

  • Again with the party thing. We are Americans and we call them terrorists because they were caught on the battlefield amongst those fighting against us. Some of the ones released under the Bush administration to Yemen were found right back on the battlefield. What don't you get about Americans wanting themselves to be secure.

I take it that you have hated America forever, for protecting her citizens then, because if we hadn't in WWII, we would be in a different country for sure.

  • My question is: What is it that separates these 50-100 detainees that could be released from the rest of the Guantánamo detainees, the ones who will remain jailed? Does anyone have an honest answer? (really)

  • Well, an honest observation would be that everyone was railing for Gitmo to be shut down, and the current Pres. had promised it. Then, he gets in office, and sees the importance and facts and reasons why these are held (which I applaud) - yet to satisfy the promise that he made, he feels he has to release, maybe, the least radical of the radicals. Just my thought. I appreciate your debate.

  • The point I'm trying to raise is that, if these 50-100 guys were caught fighting against US forces, then... wouldn't there be reason to imprison them along with the rest of the Guantánamo detainees?

But there is apparently a line to be drawn between the "convicted" terrorists and the other people, those who blur the lines.

I just don't see how we can imprison people who were not fighting against the US. Maybe it comes down to obscure legal definitions, or maybe it is indeed wrong to jail them

  • er... they all have one thing in common. This video doesn't show it but the detainees all went through training at various terror training camps...

  • mofongo, the last and this post was directed to you.

The "detainees" are fucking al-Qaeda terrorists. They are the same people who killed 3k of YOUR citizens in 2001.

Only a totally brain dead idiot like you apperently are would argue publicly that ANY of them should be released in the U.S.

I suggest an appropriate number of blindfolds, a ciggy each and a bullet between each of their eyes.

    This is war you fool.

The traitorous Obama govt cant even bring itself to say terrorism.

  • The donk party beats the repubs 12:1 on fear, scae, and crisis tactics.

2004 called it wants it's talking points back, DUchebag.

  • This ongoing detainee quandary is really the Bush administration's fault but Adam Schiff is obviously not bothering to understand the far reaching ramifications of what he is saying.

Giving the Islamofascists captured on a battle field a day in America court is all sorts of trouble and just plain stupid.

  • Disgusting.

  • Sure you imbecile! Charge American Citizens with being homegrown terrorist and Let the Terrorist have a trial! What the fucking is going on in America?? This is UNBELIEVABLE!

  • I gotta be honest, I am as conservative as anyone, and was subject to the UCMJ, and I have no problem with what he said here. Don't we always argue with regard to other things that we guarantee equality of opportunity, but not outcome? Why shuold the process of guilt or innocence be different for different groups? Isn't that a bit of cart before the horse mentality?

Everyone of these terrorists will end up guilty, so who cares if we do it with a veneer of due process? I'm all for it.

  • Democrats, republicans, left, right. All the same, and all as crooked as a dogs hind leg. 'False left right paradigm' .

  • I think Mr. Schiff should move to Iran.

  • Ah, no.
