Pretty sure, yeah...I'm saying that before Unplugged was filmed they hadn't played much of anything live together for a few years. Even after they did Unplugged, he was still high most of the time.

Get your facts right. Unplugged performance was the first live appearance in 2 and a half years. Not bad since the band toured non stop from 1987 to end of 1993. This perfromance is fine. Goes with the mood of the song. Staley was not high here.

Lets see you said that it was the bands first show in 3 years or something. So the something being even more. So your thinking is that AIC last played in 1992??? I was just stating facts that the bands last show was actually Jan 94. So just over 2 years. I know AIC inside out and its always fun to correct people. So yeah It was necessary.

Another interesting rare Alice In Chains song, is called Fairy Tale Love Story. I down loaded it on it my ipod a long while back, you should all check it out. It's not bad, sadly I didn't get enough info on the song, it sounds like it was made around the same time they started out. If I'm correct

Heroin had taken almost full hold of him by this point. But even yet, his freaking voice man, his voice was still great. It's sad to see Jerry, Mike, & Sean rocking the hell out during the "yeah...doo doo" part and Layne is just standing there 'on the nod'. It's also sad to see the crowd. They were having the time of their life. They had no idea this was close to AiC's last performance as a band. Ugh

he gave everyone a lesson in life by showing what drugs did to his. unfortunately, most didn't receive this message from him and layne lamented the fact that most of the fans didn't get the message of suffering and torment that came from "dirt". most people don't pay attention to lyrics though. real music tells stories and inspires. layne was always good for that.

The whining dork at the beginning of this video (an "actor" by the name of Max Perlich") looks and sounds like a real turd.
I love Layne's halfhearted reply of "We'll exchange numbers later ... if we want" and Perlich's pleading "But we did hang out though, right?" Layne's facial expression at the :34 to :35 second mark sums it all up. Fookin' great. I LOVE IT! Hope they smacked him around a bit backstage after that horrendous introduction by Perlich.

This was a good peformance,that that guy with the hat is too desperate.If he was really was a great friend with layne, layne wouldn't have speedball'd himself to death.If i was layne's friend i wouldnt have been that pushy on him.I would talk to layne about his problems and relate to them with mine,thats what friends do.Maybe if Layne understood how many people cared for him he would regret ever taking drugs.I blame Laynes dad. If i ever meet him one day I would beat his fucking face in.

Layne did regret his use of drugs. People did reach out to him. Layne insisted on being left alone. Drugs were Layne's choice, not his Dad's. Layne lived 50 years in 5. His music will stand. Drugs were a part of the process.

I love to see anything Alice in Chains but poor Layne is looking a little rough for sure. The drugs started to effect his magnificant voice. And I think the fact that he lost some key teeth contributed to that as well. But before the drugs ravaged his body he was absolutely amazing, gorgous and sooo talented. RIP Layne
