Attributing high value to a currency does not guarantee high value of labor. One thing surprises me: Bernanke treats RP and his message VERY carefully and with respect, as if he's aware history (at least) will show RP was right. I believe corporate interests are pouring money into his opponent's campaign in an attempt to beat Ron Paul in the Texas Primary on March 4th.
Let's hope they're unsuccessful.

This is America man. Ron Paul above all others believes in the freedom to choose. We know we're more educated on the issues than other people, but that doesn't mean they aren't Americans.

This is why the puppet masters can't allow someone like Ron Paul to become president...Mr. Paul actually understands how the system works and he's the only one willing to speak out about it, instead of playing "Democrat" or "Republican". I hope he decides to run as an independent...he's not the best hope, but many shades brighter than the three idiots / robots on the ballot now.

I wanted so bad to see Obama or Hillary have to stand up to Ron Paul in a debate, they know the stupid smooth talking senators would get crushed in each debate and exposed for the fake ass bitches that they are. I'm still keep toying with the idea of the amount of money being tied to the value of the amount of stuff.
I would be a problem calculating the value but if you drop a million dollar bomb on a fifty dollar shack the amount of money in the supply should drop by that amount.

It is so frustrating to me to have to watch this man, who is so educated, and so bright being overlooked and discredited by a public that can only absorb politics in 30 sec. soundbytes. The evidence abounds as to the seriousness of the problem. Record trade deficits, record budget deficits, record public debt record amt. of currency held by foreign central banks and record low dollar. One year into President Obamas term America will wake up with a serious hangover.

Hmm. This gave me a little bit more respect for Bernanke. It almost seems like he is just doing his job as best he can, and I think he is qualified for the job. Look him up on Wikipedia. It's not his fault all this crap is happening, like he said, he's just following the rules. He pointed his finger at Congress about the gold standard and insinuated that the law tells him how to do his job. Smart move if you ask me. Congress is who we should be mad at. They're the ones responsible for this mess

In a way, what you say is true, Ron is giving Ben a hard time, but if you really listen to what he is saying, his words are meant for the American People to hear. Bernanke knows all that stuff. But Paul is using the media coverage to air his views and broadcast his message. We all need to understand that Congress is charged with money matters by the Constitution, they really can't just pass it off on someone else and expect things to go well.
