You can use the shadows for your protection, but they still see you because they came to close. I agree that there are some points in the game where it's almost like, come on, end, but I really am enjoying it right now. I like the challenge of letting my enemies NOT find me and finding new ways to silent kill w/o alerting others.

I understand. As a huge stealth fan I found myself enjoying it for awhile but it just starts to get frustrating after few hours because it doesn't feel polished enough.

Thanks. I'm not an expert on Assassain games, rather, this is my first one (I'm used to RPG gaming, lol) but my boyfriend has played many assassain games and is enjoying this one also. I suppose it's just one of those games where everything is entirely different from your basic cookie cutter assassain game. You have to plan more carefully and execute things slowly. Real assassains don't get a restart button if they die. ;)

That's true. Well there's not many stealth games out there I'd consider amazing but once I played splinter cell 3 it's hard to compare other's to it. Well if want some more games who offer stealth similar I'd suggest for you who your BF is splinter cell, manhunt, or even newest batman game. Should all be fun.

Kinda, since in these two stealth games you use the shadows to your advantage but Splinter cell did alot more then VA did. But if you do like VA I'd say give SC3 a chance, might like it ^^

Yea I have the PC version but the game is great. The detail is great and the gameplay is very much like Manhunt. The stealth is well done. It is repetitive but I think it makes no difference.

Yeah I couldnt agree more. These "professional" reviewers made it soudn like one of the worst stealth game ever made and it couldnt be farther from the truth. I'm enjoying it VERY much. If anyones interested AT LEAST give it a rental as there is definate fun to be had with it. The world is very gritty and desolate, the music is brooding, the pace is great, and when you clear out a room/spot with the germans its feels VERY rewarding. I give it a 7.5-8.0 at the very least.

MGS is too fast for me to be a stealth game. Splinter Cell and Velvet Assassin is just perfect. The AI isn't dumb at all, they have really good eyesight, hearing, and have great aim. You can get killed faster than in any other stealth game. It has the 1945 feel to it.

it's a stealth + action game, and it's pretty much the most technically superior game to date, Uncharted 2 is gonna change that though it seems, check out the gameplay footage, but still the heart and soul of mgs4 is the story, cant replace that, i mean 2 cgi movies of 30+ min thats heart right there, besides you can basically sneak ur way through mgs4 without killing anyway through the toughest difficulty setting if ur good enough, it's not impossible, but gunfights are cool as well.
