I think the reason might be that her lyrics mean so much more than the usual popmusic today.. I mean.. people that get well nown are people like Miley Cyrus, not people like Alexz who deserve it due to her true talent and meaninful music that has the power to change peoples lives. it's stupid, but to me it looks like that is how things work today.

not that i don't agree with you, because i do! - but the reason artists lke Miley Cyrus get more well known over artists like Alexz Johnson has way more to do with the business side of the music industry. Miley Cyrus generates way more fans and therefore more money to the industry whereas an artist like Alexz Johnson generates a small amount due to the fact that her music is quite has "radio friendly". I don't really agree with it, but the business people go where the money is.
