i dont really think the merits of this performance should really be questioned, whether ther did a good job or not. how many people would have checked out the original of this having seen this video? thats what will keep rock and roll alive.
My buddy at the record store. He is a HUGE Jack White fan so he tells me what he's got coming into the store whenever I'm in there. Last week he said he's getting new Dead Weather in about 3 weeks or so.
Original is from WCPAEB. Lyrics by Bob Markley, music by Ron Morgan. From their LP/CD 'A Child's Guide To Good And Evil' (1968). Available at Sundazed Records.
Me too... but she really looks like this girl I met who was playing a show at rocklahoma while I was selling beer. She got rained out, so we talked for almost 8 hours straight. Her name's Elissa Barclay, She's on youtube, and she rocks..

Oh boohoo it's not like the original. Did you expect it to be? Geez people.
I think this is an amazing cover, the fact the bbc only ever show one Dead Weather song from glasto is disgusting

The WCPAEB - Get their 3 CDs! I've listened to them since my older brother got their LP's in High School back in the '60's!

This easily could have been on the record; it's really awesome. I'm seeing these guys in SF in August; needless to say, I can't wait.
