ahh i used to love/hate this game as kid. dont think i ever completed it and the pause button on the front of my SMS worked when it felt like so i allways died trying to press it.

I absolutely loved this game as a kid. I will say I wish Sega had taken care of their franchies like Nintendo. The sequel to this, "Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars", was a subpar arcade port and nothing like the original. It went downhill from there; the Genesis title was abysmal. I had them all though, and loved them, but c'mon. It's true.

Please tell me, how did u pass the stage at 32:30 alive? I remember very well, i couldnt make the alex swimming in a rectum line. Im a frustated person today cause i didnt this. =D

This game was so unbelievably cheap, it's good to see it get so thoroughly owned. I only wish the "B" item had been used at least once though because on my best run through the game I'd ever had I had just gotten the first one I'd ever found but died 30 seconds later and never got to see what it does and have regretted it ever since.

I loved the flying past the final boss at the end though :)

Nintendo should buy the rights from Sega and make Alex Kidd cool. Miracle World is awesome but that Jan Ken Pon crap was an excuse to not have to make complex Boss battles. The bull and bear were cool. Or maybe Sega should hire Treasure to develop an Alex Kidd game. NO JEN KEN PON! Yes Bike and Power Ring. Also they should mash up OPA OPA with Alex kidd using him like Samus's ship. Alex and Sonic are so different, it isn't like Alex would steal the spotlight from Sonic the Stage-hog or nothing!
