  • Thank you so much!! this video cleared up a lot for me...one question...have you ever done this with colored picture or do you do it on colored paper and just leave the pic as a black outlined picture?

  • @VickiDodgeify You can do it either way depending on the look you want.

  • thanks, I also used photo paper and clip art. Thanks for getting back to me again.

  • wow thanks for getting back to me so fast. So make it any size we want, print, and glue to the card, right??? It is easy if you know how to navigate through word, but just wanted to make sure I was doing it right.

  • @ginger0174 I usually cut the whole sheet into four pieces and make four card fronts, but you can cut out individual images and arrange them on a card front.

  • ran out of time and stoped, what are the next steps??

  • @ginger0174 Once you have your paper filled with what you want you simply print it.

  • Okay, this is the most confusing video ever :(

  • @moonncat sorry

  • where did you get the bear?

  • Yes, you are PICKY! LOL! That's what makes you a PRO! The devil is always in the details. Great video...answered a ton of questions for me.

  • Thank you so much for this video!! I'm glad you used a few different examples as sometimes (with me, anyway) it doesn't always sink in the first time around. I didn't think the steps were too many to follow. I'm sure it moves along lickety split when you know how to do it, as opposed to doing a video and teaching someone how to do it step by step. I appreciate you taking the time and putting this tutorial together.

  • wow! that's a lot of steps!!! Yeah, lemoncube you're right, just a text box could have done it!!!!

  • in the case of putting the text in the sign, a text box would work fine. however if you are trying to have text over part of an image and you don't want the box part of the text box blocking your image this is the way to do it.

  • you can always make the textbox with no line so it doesn't show up on your image. Right click on the textbox and find the correct tab and select no line

  • I've done that, but the area where the lines would be if they showed still block the image because it's not transparent. How do you do it?

  • k, after you insert the text box, right click on it and go to the colors and lines tab. Under Fill, you will see color and transparency. Set the color to no color and transparency to 100%. Then under Line, you'll see color again, set it to no color and click ok. Let me know if this helped.

  • okay that works! It's just about as many steps though. There are so many ways to skin a cat! Thanks for the lesson.

  • or you could have simply put a text box inthe sign in the bears hand and typed happy birthday..lol without all those steps you took..lol

  • Great video Holly, I was so thrilled to see that you had used one of my images :o) I actually saw the completed card on your blog and love the way you coloured it, the completed card was lovely. Thanks again Holly, you're a star! Jo x
