i love this music so badly! the only problem is that they use the same music for both life and death scenes in the TV show (obviously "life & Death"!) and every time i hear the music i just get sad for Boon, and charlie and all the other fabulous characters who died! :(

I loved hearing this song on the show but I never knew what it was called until a few months ago. Ever since I have waited for this song during the episodes. I just can't believe that I have devoted nearly a third of my life to this show and now it's gone. I do have to say I like how they ended it with Jack closing his eye in the same spot he was in the first episode. I love LOST.

Did you move it up a key on purpose? First chord is usually D F B(flt), it sounds like E G C in your video. Either way it sounds beautiful, nice job. And whoever suggested Giacchino plays this on a keyboard because it would be more "cost efficient," come on really? They spent $14 million on the pilot, I don't think they are worried about costs. Plus music IMO is 70% of a movie/tv show, it draws emotion without having to process information.

yeah but its still pretty damn good for using a keyboard. besides, u don't know if Michael Giacchino (sp?) uses an actual orchestra. It would be much more cost efficient for him to do it this way, so its very possible he uses a keyboard as well. Which would make this just as good as the original

I agree that this version is very good, but they do use a real orchestra for all of the music on Lost. They had a special about it (maybe on a season dvd set?) but the producers/directors talked about how it sets the show apart from others--it is all live music.

Could be for a couple of reasons. First sometimes when videos are uploaded the sound will get knocked off track forward or backward by a small fraction. I don't know why this is.

Second, on the electric keyboards I've played, when they're set to 'organ' mode the sound you hear when pressing a key is delayed by about a quarter of a second. That is, you press the key then a fraction of a second later the sound is heard. This is to make it sound more 'authentic' like a real pipe organ.
