From a woman's point of view - it's very sexy even even I don't look at him like that (If I'm making sense) - But like you really admire Cornwell - he's got his own band - this is another project. Occasionally I love an acoustic gig and looking forward to The Cockney Rejects one in October :)
i remember when he left the stranglers he first recorded an album called "WOLF" --
well, it is obvious that he was the woman´s type in the band ( at least the "official" one;-), and it is no suprise that it is mostly the frontmen who leave their bands -
but when you listen to songs like "duchess", you see that he is a quite vulnerable "wolf", and that appearance and attitude do not always match the way they semm to! but to me that is the point where it gets really interesting!!
Absolutely - and nothing more appealing IMO than a man showing his vulnerabilty and he doesn't realise it - especially when you think The Stranglers were painted as a tad misogynistic - books and covers eh MOC :-) JJ was I think the obvious choice for women... but me I was a huge Steve Diggle fan - still am - check out my 'new' upload for Diggle, Jones & Matlock
do you know what i find really interesting---whatever a girl loves a guy for, she is always eager to mention that it´s a quality he is "unaware of", or "doesn´t realize".
i don´t wanna become heady, but i really heard this several times recently, and it´s puzzling.
I think men are more romantic, guys have an ideal, Name the greatest love songs ever I doubt any of them have been written by women. A man in love is a force to be reckoned with - men also take so much longer to get over break-ups if in love. As for what we fall in love with a guy over. how could he be that special to us unless we find that bit of him he is unaware of. - We don't want the same dress/shoes as another woman why would we want a man who is like every other womans :-)
Jack Regan from The Sweeney, proper old school hardhitting 70's/80's police drama (Gene Hunt was based on him or detectives like him) and of course English :)
Oh itt's not so much patriotic but a 'LONDON' 70's thing and growing up with them on the telly - and nothing like Columbo who is my favourite after the other two - just love the way he gets his man (or woman) Can't put a link up but search The Sweeney on here
I've put the lyrics under more info for you - certainly not on the level of a teenager - it's the song of a man who really knows what lust/love really is ...
i really admire cornwell, he is a great musician and lyricist, -- but since he left i heard nothing of him, and what i find here is pretty disappointing to me
Yes I loved every minute of it too! I only managed 8 vids before the camera police spotted what I was doing after the interval lol.. Gutted as I really wanted to video No More Heroes...
ok, the lyrics are great, i have read them now. not very original, but he is full of real passion

ok, from the patriotic point i cannot judge it, i am neither american nor english.
but columbo drives a french and wears a trench!,
---and apart fom this he is really the kind of type i just never get tired of, his humbleness is so disarming )which reminds me of the song above)
