In your eyes they are "moochers" now because they can't pay back a loan that shot up to 25% interest because of the adjustable rate and a late payment. Yes, of course, it is the people that said we want to pay huge amounts of interest that we can't afford and we want to lose our jobs for the sake of your stock price. Give me a fucking break.

@DeepSouth16 Unless you are rich there is no other way than to go to a bank to buy a home and these banks use fine print and expert sales people to convince people that they can afford these loans even after they jump 7 points. So what happened? The banks profited off of these people, then got bailed out by our tax dollars while the rest of us were left to hang. If your such a free market neocon, why didnt we let the market take care of these failing banks? Fucking hypocrite.

@DeepSouth16 Yes, the banks set the rate, you dipshit. The Fed (which is controlled by the banks) sets the rate for printing currency. Individual banks set the rate anywhere above that. They weren't forced to make bad loans. They were doing it willingly because they were making a shit load of money. If they allowed people to refinance their homes with reasonable interest rates, then we would have far less foreclosures. Their fine print and tactics are designed by lawyers, dick.

Luring people in with very low interest rates, then telling them that after a few years they can refinance with better terms all the while underwriters weren't doing their jobs. Then when the housing bubble burst, the banks refused to make new loans, those people got screwed. Oh right, I'm sure you think the govt forced the banks to raise their interest rates on consumers...LOL. Ignorance is bliss for you, isn't it?
