Qt for Symbian - Developing in Qt Creator

Which version of Symbian does it support and for which Nokia Series?

@asiddiqi123 S60v5 does not support newest Qt 4.7.2. but it does the earlier one(samo for s60v3 i think). Symiban^3 supports 4.7.2. , don't know about the earlier version.

@AbuZamaan 7 months late answer but you can make games with Qt...but I didn't find any tutorials on that...

When you've tried to wing it and tried to do this->itemName instead of ui->itemName and most of the helloWorld tutorials have just shown a message box and not helped at all, this was very handy to work out where I'd gone wrong...

Great work Alessandro! After following your installation guide and installing all the programs from your youtube video: "setting up qt for symbian" I have finally created an app! I didnt know you had to install the S60 SDK, Activeperl 5.6.1, Open C++, Qt Open source and the other program to get it to actually work!

Thanks so much, this is a great and powerful tool, really an invention.

I got everything running smoothly... (something had to go wrong)... when I was about to test the app on the N97, Qt creator said it couldn't find a "sysgdb" stuff... and on the error messages: C:\S60\devices\S60_5th_Edition­_SDK_v1.0\epoc32\release\MyFir­stApp.exe wasn't found...

Do you guys at Qt check these comments at all anyway?

I'm on windows vista and it failed on deployment... said: "Waiting for app TRK to start on COM30..." and got stuck there... on mobile phone TRK was running and saying Connected in status with USB connection and Port 1...

I solved it by changing port number to 1 on Device Manager, (i've also changed compatibility mode to run as Administrator - but without port change it wouldn't work)... this measure corrected the problem, deployment is now possible... Thanks for all the instructions ^__^
