  • sehr gutes lied

    heil joy divisition

  • @allesvorbei1 es soll natürlich joy division heißen

    gruß stoni

  • You hope the video will like everybody? What if it dislikes us?

  • we do translation and you can select Asian women lushfmlk.info

  • the "doors" of my generation...

  • Can´t describe it-it´s probably music from the heart!

    B.

  • think of our life and joy brothers, live for jesus christ

  • great song. guitars, drums, machine. all perfect

  • Awesome video, great music. Thanks!

  • I promise you if you don't love "your silent face" i will be amazed. Not liking the later new order stuff is one thing but this album sounds like as the other guy replied to you what J.D. would have done next. Wheres about are u by the way U.S.?

  • i live in Greece (i 'm not sure if that 's what you asked me for. i didn't understand exactly the last question). i checked out almost the most songs of the album and yes, i could say it was good and a bit similar to the J.D. 's style. so maybe i misanderstood them a bit but from the other hand, i think that this kind of music is tottaly meaningless* and their personalities have nothing to do with curti's..

meaningless for me is something that doesn't contain any strong feelings.

  • also, they are TOO pop for me but that doesn't mean they 're not good. it just means i dislike most of their songs :P

  • this song for the intellectually minded is without precedent. Utterly amazing

  • Genius! yeah!.. fuck off

  • That is not true about new order. Thumbs up for the rest.

  • If you think new order are so different maybe you should listen to them from the start, Movement, New Orders 1st album basically IS joy division, just minus the lyrical genius of Curtis.

  • i think they are the best group ever! they are so romantic, atmospheric and beautifully melancholic...i adore them!

but also, i hate New Order, they should feel embaressed of composing all that bullshit just for the money!

  • I totally agree!

  • you really don't have a clue about music., J.D. were progressive during post punk era, and N.O. continued progression during 80's with electro, they were almost good as J.D.

  • i think if you just try to compare the quality of the music and the lyrics you'll find out what i mean!

  • if you read rob grettonx notes jd certainly wanted to make money and why not, originally they wanted to make a 1 record deal with factory before sighning with the major labels if my memory serves me correct,i'm 50 and for me they were the last truly great rock band

  • i tottaly love joy division music but as i told you, i 'm pretty dissapointed by their turning to a stupid electro group! So i agree with you that they were trying to make money, but only the three of them! If Ian wanted a big and great career he would have continued playing with the band instead of killing himself and refusing to go out to the stage...

  • Ian didn't know what he wants, he was like 21, he refused to go out to the stage because of his illness, not because he wanted to stay small club attraction, and he wasn't quite happy with sound of their production, he wanted more rough punk like sound, so if you like JD sound it's

Martin Hannett credit. If J.D. continued they would probably had more and more electro sound, and eventually ended in similar direction as N.O.

  • New Order can't be attributed as stupid electro group, cause they were among top three electro group at the time, they never had quality of lyrics like J.D. but that was Ian (you are probably just a hater of electro music, which is fine)

  • yeah...maybe you' ve right...

  • I am somewhat in the same camp - I love Joy Division, but apart from a few New Order tracks I could care less about them. They really are two different bands.

  • @happyjessus Get a grip mate try the new order album "power corruption and lies"

UK (Fac 75) US (FACUS 12) 1983. Nobody likes J.D. more than me (well maybe someone else does but they must have Ian Curtis tattooed on their face or something). Factory records entire ethos was anti commercialism (no singles on albums, no track listings on sleeves, artists were allowed to keep their own rights) The album's the def of romantic, atmospheric and beautifully melancholic. R.I.P Ian, tony, Martin + Rob

  • i' ll give it a chance.. why not?

  • @happyjessus your wrong NeW OrdeR deserve credit ... influencing the keyboard/ rythm's . you just sad that Ian Curtis isn't singing .. i understand .. gota respect hooky and co.

  • yeah maby i was just sad... i m not sure if i still support that comment..

  • @happyjessus you are so obvious...everyone thinks that in his mind, i hate who has to say it like they are a commercial toy. Anyway some of New Order song are fantastic even without Ian; and you know it...everyone does it for money after all. You should hate every group?!

  • @im666u555 i just want it to be less clear that every fuckin thing is taking place just to fullfill the pockets... anyway, i know i overeacted.. i was less open-minded the period that i made that comment.

  • @im666u555 Let's straighten out this first.....you wrote "some of New Order song (sp) are fantastic even without Ian", if Ian were still alive, assuming he would have remained with the band....they would be called Joy Division.....duh??? I absolutely believe that Ian Curtis did not do what he did for the money. Of course he needed to get paid something......had a child, a wife and a girlfriend....that takes some cash. Ian Curtis did what he did out of passion. Check out Joy Division on Hulu..

  • @happyjessus i think they did it as a tribute to ian curtis (that's just my take on it) and fame came with it coz they were original and you can't compare the two really (with ian gone) but i try to think positively and feel a lot of people (myself included) would never have known who joy division was but through new order i found them and am so glad becoz of it

  • @ronrendon yeah maybe that's true.. it sounds ok like this.. but me, i was lucky my father saw the movie 'control' and talked to me about them xD

  • @happyjessus I enjoyed "Control" which was based on a book written by Ian's wife Deborah...so the view may be a bit subjective. There is a awesome film/documentary type called "Joy Division"...you can see it on Hulu. It includes great videos of Joy Division, interviews with remaining band members, his girlfriend Annik, and much more. Between the two you might get a better understanding of how Joy Division emerged and Ian Curtis; the man. Enjoy!

  • @jano916 oh thanks. i will definately look up for it! thanks again..

  • @happyjessus brilliantly put, I feel the same way....

  • @happyjessus whoa whoa whoa, you've obviously not heard new order's amazing stuff they made in their first 4 years

  • Here are the young men

one of the best songs written sends shivers even today talk about painting a picture with words

  • One of my all time Joy Division favourites.

  • this is actually called "decades." but great song regardless.

  • Yeah this song is called "decades" but the footage is from VHS called "Here are the young men"

  • This is decades from the album CLOSER..

  • transcendent!

  • pure original

  • this is a first song of video about concert i have on tape

  • without being educated psychologic experts (at least as I believe), Ian & his co-JD musicians conveyed a lot of truth about experienced negative childage and teenage traumas

  • Hmmm, maybe that's why they've always spoken to me...

  • this video is actually really cool

  • raw filo dough is so good lkie skin

  • i,m trying to find a record that joy division did and there was no singing and it was guitars and drums can anyone remember whats it called i have been trying to track it down this is also one of my favs its brill and the tune to it its good

  • are you thinking of 'Incubation' im sure thats an instrumental

  • Maybe KOMAKINO?

  • Decades*

  • wow!!!

  • I used to own this video, but sold it years ago. This opening sequence still gives me goosebumps all these years later. Thanks for posting.

  • the song IS called Decades

  • @albion7000 you are so clever. But you missed one thing, title of this publish is here are young man, the first words from decades track. He haven't titled track, but video.

  • @S4M3L agreed !

  • @albion7000

I think even the uploader knew this, but it's the introduction to a some what rare "video album" called here are the young men.

  • one of the best tracks on closer

  • I find it funny when people call the music depressing. It gets me fired up. Especially the false conclusions, build ups...where have we been?

  • agreed

  • Goose bumps....one of the best songs of JD....

  • Sounds like the audio is clipping.

  • ahh I see, it all makes sense now.

  • I thought this song was called decades..

Well, I mean it says so on my closer album.

  • it is the name of the song. the video is from a collection called here are the young men.
