The deFURnition of a "bear" and a "cub" has morphed into something approaching "girth and mirth" rather than the well-built, hairy guy you might have wanted the term "bear" to indicate. Fortunately, there are six-pack bears, as well; you just won't find them congregating at a "bear" themed event. (You'll still find them at Home Depot or the ball game though.)
