what driver are you using? im using 11.10's with no caps and it seems to be the most stable for me. when I enable crossfire it stutters and its basically unplayable.

@maiky3838 11.12, i know how to toy with the drivers and know what i don't need when installing the drivers and making sure they happen to work

nice vid, the 7970 is a nice card but its basically a 580 overclocked...i think ill wait for the next gen nvidia cards also the 7970 is a pci 3.0 card just keep that in mind, you might not be able to use it to its fullest unless you get a pci 3.0 compatable motherboard and processor.

Also the 2 gig + mem on the newer cards are only for higher resolutions with maxed settings in games. 2560 x 1600 or higher.

@nauls82 Well i read the info on the card and I would be able to use the 2GB on the card, 7970 is much faster than a 580 and that is on stock settings, now if you were to overclock it and they already did and 4 way crossfire the 3D mark vantage score was 98,687

@keiki646 its a 3 gig card and its only slightly faster than 580, not as fast as 6990 or 590 though, it was made to compete with 580 and it does it well.
