Seriously I've never seen an anime or manga with more debate on whether what the main character was right or wrong. L was probably my favorite character but I have to admit I love Light too even if he did go a bit crazy and started calling himself God and stuff....he really believed in his heart he could change the world for the better and this song shows as it progresses how crazy Light started to get while the show progressed in my opinion.

Light, IMO is always an inherrently good character, as you can see by his initial intentions, but he descends into a battle of self preservation over the maintaining of his morals, I don't think he was ever evil, I think he thought L and his successors were getting in the way of "true" justice, which they were in all honesty.

love him or hate him Light has got to be one of the most complex characters in anime... if there was ever a perfect example of great character development in a story then that would be him. L, for all his quirks and eccentric mannerisms is endearing but to understand Light is to see the very depths of the human soul... a soul capable of good and evil.

This idea is too... idealistic. It´s just too simple and flat to actually work. How would you recognize who is criminal and who not? Just because somebody writes it on the internet? Of course they didn´t show it, but by that time, people would have started to misuse Kira for their own selfish purposes... blackmailing, revenge, fun... It would be a disaster to humanity and justice. Think first, before defending a murderer.

@Riwillion Though this could be possible, the thing about Light was he had access to actual Police Files. So he could know which people were criminals and which ones were not. But on another note, I think this method would work if it was done at a smaller level. If someone were to simply use the death note on people whom they knew for sure were murderers, and rapist, ect. after they were found guilty or if it was clearly evident then thats when the death note should be used.
