on the official site it says to adjust the iso etc for diff lighting conditions. i think most people on here are using the auto feature,which isnt good to other vids ive seen that have auto feature,if this just needs tweaking of the iso etc then i wouldnt mind,but if that doesnt help,then some will be left with a crap cam lol.

its good for skate vids and work well with pretty much all editing programs. i use fcp and after effects, check out my ramped slow mo video. i used it to film most of the tricks. i have an opteka .3x fisheye and a .20x fisheye, but i would recomend the .3x (type in "opteka baby death" on ebay or amazon) cause its cheaper, lighter and better.

its an amazing camera but the only bad thing about it is the microphone. idk if you heard in the video u can hear him zooming in and stuff. so if u want good sound i would recommend external mics.

no i have one and trust me the mic is really bad. but thats only cuz the camera is really small so everything is closer together therfore recording the camera itself.

The Aiptek Z 500 makes better HD Pictures than this Sanyo camera. I've both cameras, and the only disadvantage of the Aiptek Z 500 against the Sanyo TH1 is the humble zoomrate. Only a 3 times zoom, but the TH1 has 30 times. And the Sanyo wokr better together with extrem lightchanges. But the picturequality of the Z 500 is better!

It runs on sd-card thank god! With hard drive the battery would last 40 min. With SD-card it lasts about 4 hours...

Yes it has USB-connection, but it is not standard mini-usb. It is a special contact. I recommend a card reader. Movie maker is a bit of a problem because the files don't work if you take them off the camera into media player. I run with adobe premiere elements, and that works really well! Of course you can put files from the camera directly to Youtube as I did with this one.

It says in all sorts of reviews and specification lists that you can manually focus, but i can't see any rings, switches, or dials to do so. Is it an internal thing that you do through a menu system...?

That is a very interesting question. I know that the manual focus is switched on in a certain menu, but I am not sure how to actually focus manually. I think it is done quite easily with the joystick that you navigate the menu with! I will check that and get back to you...

its so weird, this specific camera always puts a little bit of a glow on things, also, was that sound i heard at 0:24 you taking still photos? one more thing, it has an internal memory right?

I don't know about the glow but maybe it is caused by a bad ISO as i had on this shoot. Now I only shoot at ISO50 in daylight.

That sound doesn't come from the camera. It's just some random noise.

It has an internal memory so you can shoot about 1.20 min of HD-video whithout a card, but then you need the cable to get it to your computer... Overall it is a very nice camera with outstanding battery life!

Have you checked the kodak ZX1? That one has got 60fps and hdmi-cable in the box. This one has only 30fps in hd mode and no hdmi cable... But still it is very nice with the zoom abilities!
