You double tap and then hold the Up Arrow key (or whatever key you have to walk forward). It doesn't always work though ... the control system in this game was very clunky and awkward.

Resident evil copied this game hard. The worm in the cave was replaced with a crocodile, the mansion, zombies, and so forth. Very ahead of its time.

While Resident Evil no doubt drew from this game (since it and Sweet Home are the forerunners of the Survival Horror genre of video games), it's a game in its own right, and did not seriously "copy" anything from AitD. The prospect of a haunted house filled with the walking dead is hardly a new idea ;)

It's something innate in most humans, really. People who weren't afraid of spiders were more likely to die, and... But some survived and had offspring, and you (and I! Wee!) are a descendant of them. Just like how tigers that loved water were more likely to survive in the jungle and make offspring who loved water.

In all fairness to H1E949 though, what (s)he's describing are some of the basic ideas behind "Evolutionary Psychology," a fairly new school of psychology which, while it has its merits, makes some pretty bold claims and is highly controversial in scholarly circles. Many people do support its claims, however, and at the least it IS generally agreed upon by psychologists that fears are the result of being overly cautious with something potentially dangerous.

You don't get all that much ammo, do all the melee weapons break? Can you hurt monsters by throwing items at them? (Besides the knight)

The (good) sword and the daggers are unbreakable. I don't really think it's possible to kill monster by throwing items.

You can find about 18 bullets for the revolver (including the ones in the gun) and 12 for the rifle.

It can't be a nightgaunt, and I would go for a byakhee (flying horror from the Dreamlands) if it wasn't so small and pink, therefore not very scary.

yeah thats way off. the Nightgaunt was the one you killed with a mirror... you may remember it because it looked 100% exactly like a Nightgaunt down to the very last detail. that little flying thing is just a bat.

BUT that "spider" had a wolf head on it! It kinda looked like a Wamp but those things are supposed to live in the dreamlands so, I dont know. That wasn't just a spider though.

There were no auto-aim. Thank god there so few airbone enemies (only two in the game).
