yea it is way before holiday and everybody. and there was even more stuff before this one too..she was a drumme and singer in another band "breakfast club" in 1978/79.

I never watched the entire film, just clips. The information I have is that it features people from the New York art scene performing whatever they wanted, with no script or lines given by the director. They not only filmed Madonna's band, but also a very dark testimonial from hers (apparently, she tells about when she was sexually assaulted).
