But even better, the Narrator is Klaus-Dieter Klebsch, one of germanys most famous voice-actors.

He coincidentially held a concert in West Berlin the same night the Berlin Wall fell in '89, so his music is somewhat assosiated with that event. Hasselhoff is, by the way, of German decent and speaks German fluently.

an Intresting point IMO is that the PCE Intro is more from the point of view of Shaft, as the intro reffers to "themself" in the ceremony, while this one speaks in a "them" POV

The Transylvania region was under Habsburg rule at the time setting of this game. German would have been used quite frequently, hence why the intro is in German probrably.

Johnathan Harker speaks German to most of the Romanians during his visit to Romania. Even Count Dracula himself (under the guise of the carage driver) speaks to Johnathan in German.
