WE(Poles) have many reasons to be proud especially of our patriotism.Our weakness though is our hisorical magnaminity which led to our enemies' attempts to annihilate us later when they became stronger.

Oh, you funny hilarious polish patriots!
Pride makes blind.
1. A german spy sold the technical information about Enigma when Poles were still eating without knives (sorry, small joke)
2. From 1939 on the British did all the work including developing necessary machines blabla. No Pole was involved any more, nor even admitted to Bletchley Park (there was a sign outside: No dogs and Poles admitted) (yes, another joke) , because the Brits feared for spies. Now sit back and have a cup of tea.
Involvement of Poles in breaking this code is fundamental ! and unquestionable! They outsmarted and help to stop german nazi murderers, which you probably adore ----- now go drink your tea

ironlionuk where do I start your education ? the Enigma machine, was first seen early 1930s, it was made by a Company named Lorenz, it was a civilian commercial machine, No 1 paid it much attention, until it was used by Germany, 1937, Yes both the Poles and the French had access to it, then it was a very simple device, NEITHER Poland or France had any Idea about A I, this was the realm of a Brit Mathematician Alan Turing, to fully break the Cypher, a computer was needed, the Poles had Zilch,
The German bought a lots of model in 1926... And, they made specific modification machine, in 1928, for each department: Airforce, marine, earth force. The Poles mathematicians was able to break the code of the marine from 1932 to 1 May 1937. So, it's missing some link at the time. But it was better then nothing.
It won the war - ,An exhibit in 2003 on "Secret War" at the Imperial War Museum, in London, quoted British Prime Minister Winston Churchill telling King George VI, "It was thanks to Ultra that we won the war.""Let no one be fooled," Winterbotham admonishes in chapter 3, "by the spate of television films and propaganda which has made the war seem like some great triumphant epic. It was, in fact, a very narrow shave, and the reader may like to ponder... whether we might have won [without] Ultra."
Brits hate to admit that the Poles gave them and to the French the key to the broken by the Poles 3--wheel Enigma. Moreover, the Bombe was named after the Polish "Bomba" used by 3 Polish mathematicians;

the British take all the credit for solving the Enigma, ....winners write history.
But Poland win this war with nazi Germany too... Problem was that: Allies sold Us to Soviets.... and after war England, USA, USSR and even "polish communist gouverment" wiped out Polish contribution in 2 world war from history. My Grandfather - soldier of Polish Army on the West back to Poland in 1960 - His friends from Army who back sooner was closed in jail or disapear on Siberia. Communists killed many polish patiorts and closed Them in camps with SSmans...

"But Poland win this war with nazi Germany too"
haha!
Yes, after a month Poland was defeated but as commanders fled abroad, they did not capitulate. Instead, they let Germans kill as many as they wished. But yes, of course, you won the war against Nazi! Dream on, baby
Wow, It really is amazing how we broke the Enigma code, our Ultra Program, developing the first electronic computer was an amazing victory and is widely considered to have taken 2 years off the war in Europe, it is most definitely the British Equivalent to America's Atomic bomb that had a similar effect in the Pacific war, as without it they too expected to fight up to 1947.
funny my computer could break it in a few minuits....

Without Poles there wouldn't be Ultra-system. Three Polish mathematicians decoded Enigma in 1932!!! A year after it was created!!!

It is truth... But not that simple.
