  • I've been thinking of going semi-raw, but after watching this guy I just don't want to lose my mind.

  • So well said by David. I'm on 100% raw food diet for 8 months (wai diet) and cooked/prepared foods don't feel like food to me anymore!

  • It's true - I'm sort of a slow raw foodist over the past five years and even though I still stumble in social situations I have lost the ability to even digest cooked food, my body hates it. I used to think I had orthorexia but it isn't that - it's this inclination that keeps me going back to the raw. What I envy is David's ability to fast around cooked food. That's the hardest part for me, that I have a hard time... I get too hungry.

  • @QSnarf

The only way to fast around cooked food without temptations is completely stop eating eat for a period of time. This may take weeks, months. For me it took about 2-3 months. After that period, your body will no longer ask for cooked foods. In fact, you probably won't be able to eat them, since, like David said, it won't even feel like food to you anymore.

But as long as you keep eating cooked, even if little, your body will keep on asking for them.

  • @superads91

    completely stop eating it*

  • I love how he's chowin' down on Durian during the interview.

  • why the hell is he so cocky...IT's Just food

  • @MissLalaland89 How is it cocky? He has a preference and makes a personal choice not to eat when with people he loves, yet that don't follow his lifestyle. he didn't impede on anybody's personal preferences. He is totally neutral, not cocky really. If a loved one was in the hostpital and they refused to eat the CRAP hostpital food they serve, and asked for his juicer and veggies, would you think he or she was cocky? Of course not. You have to respect personal choice.

  • wtf....licking fingers like that is fucking sick. He has no credibility anymore after doing that. How can you see a person doing something this damn primitive as an authority? I don't even do that shit when I'm ALONE, let alone if I was being filmed.

  • @MissLalaland89 And yet you use foul language multiple times in your response? That's a pretty primitive way to respond. Why does him finger licking make you angry. Rachel Ray does that now and then on her cooking shows and she's a very well respected authority and celeb. These people are human with opinions that come from their own experiences. Taking in information and using what makes most sense for you is what's important.

  • @WhoIsBrianNussbaum my primitive response was on purpose, thank you. That and I'm not about to become one of the people who have arguments on youtube, so take care.

Ps. I don't really care about the excuse and the logic behind him licking his fingers in that passionate manner, I only know it made me wretch. Literally, hence my reaction.

  • OHHHH I can't stand when people suck food off their fingers.... F^%king pig!!

  • @adamresyk2112 me too

  • I never don't just eat because it just makes you look miserable, I always take my own food and everyone actually gets interested and it's nice for them to see I actually eat awesome food instead of just salads or nothing. I agree with david about not recognising foods, I've been vegan for a long time and I sometimes forget people even eat animal products! :')

  • How can you say cooked food is not food you fuckin twat!

  • @1madaboutguitar Because something you eat is either bringing your vitality up or down. If it brings your vitality down, it's not real food, in the natural sense. Pizza is not food, its a product. You can't get it from earth. You have to make it. Same with pasta, ice cream, breads. They are not food at all. And cooked veggies and fruits die when they are heated to around 100 degrees. The vibration that is held in the vitamins dies. It is no longer food...just a dead leaf etc. No need to swear.

  • @WhoIsBrian,No need to swear? Oh Im sorry, like I should really respect your pseudo scientific 'god like' judgement! I see why Mr Wolfe appeals to people like yourself. Its a New Age fairy tail stuff. Are you completely insane?

Do you not realise that you probably wouldn't sitting where you were typing that msg if your ancestors never eat cooked food? You have clearly fallen for this snake oils salesman manipulation.I suggest you look up the term "food" in Wikipedia mate, your a bit confused.

  • I don't like the message of well I guess I just won't eat then....how about asking for a salad or something or how about bring your own food to share with others, if they don't want it, more for you. I brought raw sushi to a bbq yesterday and everyone ate it and none were raw food diet at all.

  • Hilarious!

  • How does this help? I'm glad you have some little aura, but if I begin fasting, that certainly benefits my outward appearance (sarcastically)..

I'm eating nuts, beans, gains, but social situations remain stagnant for me.

    This is unhelpful.

    Take this useless shit down

  • The raw food movement doesn't need these self styled 'gurus'.

  • 13 years? Thats a long time? TRY 44

  • higher consciousness is inevitable when eating higher vibration foods.

  • he is so not humble !

  • @FetaSake why should be humble? he's not following the teachings of Christianity, he's a raw food guy.

  • I saw him there too. He was flirting with Mickey Mouse and Obama was watching them.

    Show us some evidence, dude.

  • Ha!

I saw this same guy at a Burger King in Lakeside California eating a hamburger, fries, and a soft drink.

    WTF ?! Fake hippie wannabe.

  • lies

  • craving durian thanks to this video. I can almost taste it!!!

  • cant he stop licking his fuckin finger.

he look like such a ugly pedophile with his little « I know it all » accent

  • His fingers, they has flavr. hehehe.

  • yeah the taste of a fuckin asshole

  • lmao

  • I get what he's saying but it still must be a little akward for him at social events when everyone else is eating except for him. That and it is kinda of rude to not eat when everyone else is.

  • Why is it rude to not eat when everyone else is? Thats just stupid. Its not rude. A person shouldnt have to eat if they dont want to...the same thing goes with eating when people put before you. As a vegan Im not going to eat meat no matter how *rude* a person thinks I am for not eating it. In fact, I think its much MORE rude when people would try to force me to eat something thats unhealthy or against my beliefs!

  • Well you are absolutely right, but it's in our culture that way of thinking that it is rude NOT to eat whatever is put before you. It's a way to continue to force feed you beyond childhood.

  • Its funny I keep hearing people say that, but Ive never had anyone accuse me of being rude for not eating something...I dont think its as cultural as most people think. Maybe in some families...

  • No, it's not and that's only because we are winning. The plan had indeed been to induce that into our culture, but it's failure and we're winners :). Yeah some families they are called narcissist families where ya get psychologically bullied into doing things against your will? Uhuh, but besides that, in some movies it shows someone offering something and the character saying no thanks and the offerer getting offended and forcefeeding them and the eat to be 'polite'. Keep strong all t takes.

  • What I mean is if you emit an aura of strength no one would dare try and get offended or 'persuade' you. It's in how you say it too. If a person says 'no thanks' thinking (o no, here we go) then they are inviting persuasion. If you say no thanks and mean it, then change the subject cuz that's that., there is nothing to persuade since your decision is made. It's what 'they' try to do but it doesn't mean they succeed (= (:

  • so true. some people really do take it personally.

  • rude my ass =)

nobody should be concerned if u eat or not at an event

    its ur business =)

  • nah if you have the chutzpah it is NOT awkward. only awkward people with so little spirit in them can ever experience being "awkward". People like him have better things to be than that.

  • yeah little by little it happens. When you want something just HAVE IT, pretty soon you will no longer want it. Now I think Ice cream is gross...I think of it as GLUE. EW!!! yet (and here's the cool thing)..when I see people eat ice-cream I DON'T go 'ew'. And I think that last part is KEY. Instead of going ew at them eating I understand, because I too, was there once. People don't see you as "different" I don't konw what raw foodists are talking about when they say that bc u inspire them.

  • u fucked top. who cares bout your feeling bout ice cream lol.

  • apparently lots do. evidently :). aw don't be jealous. ok be jealous (: here, study my middle finger for a while: iiIIii

  • i wish that was true, but unfortunately a lot of people do see raw foodist as different =)

u are going against the norm of cooked foods

u may inspire some, but freak others out

in either case, do what works for u

  • fat people will see me as a freak? oo i SO care (not). Fit beautiful people are Always (yes, that's capital "A") inspired not freaked unless they are freaks (cocaine addicts, etc) in which case who the hell cares :) ah.

  • let me take that back: no fat people see anyone as "freaks". they are FAT. they don't see ANYone. ok>? lol

  • dats the spirit

btw i was not being serious lol

u should absolutely do what works for u

trust me, i am in college and people think i'm weird

funny, its only been a few months and most of them have put on pounds

    i have not....ehehehhehe =)

  • I know ! Why be serious about fat people thinking you're weird lol. For what :P ? They say that if people think you're weird then you're not 'fit' enough, or something. Hang in there. This will transform you to a point where that'd just be senseless to think you're 'weird'. Sorry it's happening to you and good thing u have the strength to tough it out. =)

  • thanks =)

btw, do u know of any good dehydrators?

  • u'r asking the wrong person...I don't cook or process food and I think that's freaky ;D

  • huh? u don't use a food processor?

  • o when I said process I meant dry up food like with a dehydrator? but in any case no I don't have a f. p. and I think the whole point OF eating raw is simplicity. I think all these rawfoodies who make big deals and "make" food are freaky :).

  • LOL =)

  • I heard the Excalibur is a great dehydrator.

  • THANK U ROSALIE

  • EXCALIBURRRRR<3

  • I really enjoyed this video.. thank you!! David you are an INSPIRATION to this mama! God Bless!!

    Angel
