  • n mindey, nekem nem is ez van a csomagban, szóval így nem lehet mecgcsinlni, ahogy ő bemutatja, readme.txt sincs benne :s

  • It looks like you prob answered your own question.. permissions would be the problem for the installation.. be careful that you change your permissions back to what they were... 777 leaves your files open to the world.. they are probably set to 644... make sure you change them back to that.

  • I am having the same issue - community builder is not listed in main menu for step 9! I am so close but don't know how to fix this!!

  • HI I unzipped the com_comprofiler component and install it and I am not getting the same message that you receive on 2:30 in the video I was able to install the other 3 extensions and I was able to view them but I was not able to change the name style paremeter where it said components and then community builder was not an option, obviously cause it was not installed properly, please help.

  • @listmyjunks Ok I found the answer, just go to your FTP uploader and change the permission to 777 and it will be fix.

  • @listmyjunks Sorry for the stupid question - how do i get to FTP uploader? Thank you!!

  • @tontinestewardess I recommend to use filezilla just type filezilla on google and download it, you can look for a video on youtube on how to upload or how to use filezilla or how to change the permissions to your file, here is the link.

  • No problem.. I'm glad it was helpful :-)

  • thanks for taking the time to post this video

  • The community Builder extension may be found at joomlapolis . com

  • The community Builder extension may be found at /

  • can't install com_profiler. Error prompt: There was an error uploading this file to the server.

I'm using joomla 1.5.2, PHP Version: 5.2.12, Web Server: Apache, PHP Built on: Linux v178

Can you help me find out what's wrong? Thanks in advance.

  • @PYourSong It may be a permissions problem on the server. Are you familiar with chmod?

  • @JWProhosting Thanks for your response, anyway I used JomSocial instead of community builder. I installed it without getting error prompts.

  • In Step 9, from 9.25 “you need to choose them from here & add them over there” you do not explain this properly & it took me ages trying to figure this part out. And in step 9, what did you type as the title?

  • @Trinax14 Sorry about that.. I kind of made these vids on the fly.. pre-populated that one.. not sure what I used for a title, but, you can use whatever you want.

  • Thanks so much for this. I made a fresh install of joomla with no members with no problems and then a fresh install of CB. When i got to step 7, extension, module manager, i don’t see a login module shown. All i have shown is main menu, cb workflows, cb login, cb online, so i have no logins to disable, is this correct? So i can skip this step, right?

  • @Trinax14 Yes.. you can skip this step.. the login is not there because you didn't install any of the sample data so the login module is not installed. That is fine.

  • @JWProhosting That's what i thought, cheers!
