@xywave Give it a rest already. You're not a detective. You're not a part nor will you ever BE a part of Guns N' Roses. Just shut up and forget about it. All you're doing in succeeding is riling people up and making them fight with your biased, bullshit PoV. Go away.
I'm not going to reply to crass comments anymore. The video is pretty cut n' dry and speaks for itself. Bibliography of citations inthe description. Thanks everyone for feed back.
@xywave It's not as "cut and dry" as you'd like to think it is. You just dove right into the snakepit. There are nothing "crass" about our comments when you sit there and contradict yourself. Hence you are full of shit because you really do not know as much you think you know.
@xywave You're so full of shit. You go around "claiming" that this is not meant to be Pro-Slash and that's exactly as this comes across. What are you trying to be some kind intrepid detective? You nor anybody else except the members of Guns N' Roses know exactly what went down. You should also read up on your history of Axl. The stuff that you've pieced together here is nothing but crap and you twisting and turning it to suit your need to make Axl look like an evil dictator.
@xywave countering your views is "sophism"; fuck you really are an arrogant tosser. and speaking of sophism thats exactly what youre doing except with little intellectual effort or capacity. "to everyone else thanks for the likes"... all 10 of them (BFD)... Its like you are saying "SEE... everyone else likes me"... hahaha thats called "little man syndrome"
@xywave i hadnt intended as yet to speak of axl's explanations other than the reference to p331 of SLASH where some of your assertions are proven wrong. i was simply trying to speak to the seemingly justified nature of some of his actions. anyway i'm bored with this so-called debate. have a nice life examining the minutiae of gnr in your quest to be the man who exposes the truth to the entire world.
@xywave if you simply view my comments as digressive you cant claim to be cognisant of any bigger picture which is what the scenario requires. all the legal documents in the world don't actually tell you what was going between the members of gnr in terms of communication & interaction; they were all barely communicating and/or were drugfucked so basically things were dysfunctional & shit happened... GET OVER IT & LOSE YOUR DELUSION THAT YOU ARE SOME KIND OF INVESTIGATIVE TRUTHHOUND
@xywave what is the point of your vehemence if yours is not a pro-slash opinion. off the top of my head one reference i can think of is OVER THE TOP; author Mark Putterford- regarding Niven's desire to fire axl... but apparently to you this is "digressive" & not part of the equation (when it comes to understanding whatever axl may have done circa 1990/91 to protect his position) despite that you mention it yourself in the video.
It was partly Axl worrying that he'd have a Courtney Love or Yoko Ono situation where Susan, Perla, & Adler's mom would be part of making band decisions, and has since become "blame the management" by the band members. But it means more money in his pocket at the merchandising booth and boutique shops that sell rock t's.
@xywave 1. dont blame me coz you cant think analytically. the arrogance of your replies is stunning; how do you even know what ive read? so what are these simple answers if you know so damn much? anyway every complex issue has a simple answer... and its always wrong!
@xywave i mean this guy even tried2 master A4D: he isnt objective. if u were the singer of a huge band & the manager was trying to fuck u out of your own band & a lawyer said to u "1 way to kill this dead is 2 own the name", what would u do? neither slash nor anyone else 2 my knowledge disputes that axl came up with the name so y should anyone else have it? i dont think i'm being unreasonably dismissive; if u think u have ALL the info needed to know the entire truth youre fucking deluded
@xywave whatever dude if you read page 331 of slash's book you will find several things that shoot holes in the singular nature of your conclusions. truth was niven was trying to piggyback off gnr: his other major client (cough) was great white & what place do they have in rock history? by making gnr more controllable he was ensuring his own career; part of his ideas to make this happen was to get axl fired & this is documented in several sources that are NOT EVEN PRO-AXL
@xywave wtf!!?? by 2003 everyone (slash, duff etc) were long since gone;(VR was recording) so why would the document bear the former members names. plus, you cant even see what the document pertains to legally or materially; all you can see is some stuff about addresses & correspondence... & one signature. sorry if i'm missing something (i think everyone is because none of us can possibly know the entire truth; slash can barely remember himself) but i dont see it as a "smoking gun" in axl's hand
I swear (not to be blasphemous) that I'm one of the biggest GN'R fans there is to date, and for that reason I cannot state anything about one of the biggest issues about Guns. However I can say that it was ALL of their faults for the traditional split and for that Axl's and Slash's viewpoints are twisted in some aspects. It's extremely frustrating, but something is bound to rise upon reason.
P.S.- great insight with facts and interviews- there's a lot of ground to cover that's for sure! :)
FYI when somebody puts across their thoughts or feelings, this is NOT A RANT - it is somebody putting across their thoughts and fucking feelings - saying it's a "rant" is that old modern day bullshit! And just one of many of the reasons this modern world is in the fucked up state it's in today!...Cause people are fucking sheep and repeat what the last person said all the fucking time - let's face facts - it's easier to to do that than it is to think for yourself, isn't it! Well, there you go.
Axl was making sure he SAVED G N' R. Which is what he did. 0:18 says it all. When you drink you are not yourself. I don't care who you are, you are never quite who you normally would be. And what happened? Slash died. His heart stopped from the poison & he had to have an adrenaline shot thru the heart to bring him back. Duff, without his friend calling round for him, would also be dead now cause of booze. Axl was ensuring the band would exist with the same name for the fans.
@weirdcode1 I have no idea man. To me it was linked to another reason to Axl's signing of documents being crazy when it came to his controlling of the band per say.
Axl.....he destroyed one of the greatest bands in the world, even the lawyers and managers filled up Axl's mind with so much of negativity, Axl is a talented person but a fucking MORON TOO
this is a really gr8 video...when i first saw th title i thought it would`ve been another stupid video with stupid stuff in it but this is really GR8...i would`ve appreciate it if u would`ve given me all th links for this interviews so i can read th full storys...plzzzz...gr8 job ...
we just don't know exactly what happened between them.
and that documents could be missinterpretation by us who didn't know the whole story
