Yes I do dislike those who disrespect the military. However, in my area that is not a problem. I live in a military community, everyone respects both law enforcement and military. It doesn't sound like it is that way in your area, but it is in mine. Every time a soldier from my state is killed we lower our flags. Just because some places place police above military doesn't mean all places do. . Oh, and I don't "hate" anyone except Hitler and Bin Laden.

My dad is a navy vet, so is one of my uncles. My other uncle is retired from the coast guard. His son is now in the army, and has already gone to afganistan several times.

Nice memorial video. Me and a friend were at the Lakewood Police dept the day of the procession and what a heavy morning that was, so sad. But it was heartwarming all the support that came from everywhere. And now there`s another procession that we will honor the men and women wearing the badge, selflessly protecting us. Too often this is happening, a lot of twisted warped minds out there. I wish they would just put a bullet in their own heads and do us all a favor.

I'm not from Lakewood, but I am from Washington. Since October 31st, 2009 we have now lost 6 police officers, and there were 2 others wounded. All the suspects purposfully shot the officers intending to kill.

I just wanted to say thank you for your support. It does help knowing that Washington has the support of the country. It's hard to believe that it really happened, that we've lost 6 officers in less than 90 days, and that it could have been 8.

3 radio calls for each officer lost said it all. "...gone but not forgotten..." thank you to all that attended today. I watched from home all day with my 2yr old son. It was hard to think of the children left behind (but not forgotten). Thank your local police next time you see them. I will. I do. To all lost in tragedy , I salute you.
