Compact digital camera becomes a Lomo after malfunction. Should I repair it?

wow. :) You may call it defective but actually it really has something for it's own. Amazing look! Looks like the chip now only captures near Ultra Violet light.

what's funny is that I helped a customer one time and she had the same problem with her camera. In her case, there was alot of light leak into the sensors. Yet, when I looked at it, took a few pictures, I was like, "Hey this is a pretty cool effect! It has that Circa feel to it. She wanted to get a brand new one and I was like, from an artistic stand point, your damaged camera is producing some crazy footage. But she thought I was jokin so I took it back and sold her a new one..
