Yes you are right. I do prefer to be paid for original work. As an artist I get more pleasure from people enjoying my own creation. In this case we were dealing with a client who just wanted things their way. It was disappointing but at the end of the day we have bills to pay. Luckily we don't get too many jobs like this. All in all at least we can say what ever NZ can do we can do lol not bad for this 3rd world country less then a 3rd the size of NZ.

CGI is still a very young industry in Fiji. I have been doing CGI here now for just over 15 years. Mind you there was a time when I was the only CGI person here lol. I must admit I have seen a lot of crappy CGI here. But every now and then someone surprises us by lifting the standards a notch up. Still I would say not bad for a 3rd world country with no educational support for CGI. Everyone I know doing CGI here are self taught. :)

Dis is not about ideas. its more abut animation. When Hollywood movies concept r copied in other movies dan evrybdy likes it bcuz its Hollywood. ders so many out der. When smal country does somethg better dan biger countries dan u guys r jealous n my main point is dat Fiji is so tiny country n look at NZ. tel u wat, Da Fijian Cibi is much more better animation compared 2 Gingerbread, u may ask any animation experts. da haka version is so simple. Do yr homework.

I think everyone has missed the point. Gingerbreak Haka issued a challenge and Fiji Cibi is the answer to it. No one is copying anyone. It's all logical and makes excellence sense. Go for it, Fiji!
