i have been living in mumbai for 10 years, i can speak marathi properly so i speak hindi. If i speak marathi, ppl will laugh at me, thats y i dont, my parents never spoke marathi after living in mumbai for 10 years but that does not mean we have disrespected marathi culture or language. Dr. babasaheb ambedkar was marathi who made the law and constitution and another marathi Raj Thackeray violated it.
