"I'm in Love" is a song written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon/McCartney. In 1963 the English Merseybeat band The Fourmost made a recording of the song at the EMI Studios, produced by George Martin. Billy J. Kramer also recorded a version of the song, but the version by The Fourmost was selected for the issue and reached number 17 in the UK. Many Beatles tribute bands have also covered it.
I hear a lot of people say that, and there's a very good reason. This is not a 1963 demo. It clearly has all the performance and recording earmarks of one of John's 'Lost Lennon Tapes' of the 70s (way more than it sounds like John's 60s demo for 'Bad To Me, for example). He was likely revisiting it during his househusband years for possible inclusion in the never-completed stage musical project 'The Ballad Of John And Yoko'. Sometimes I think I'm the only Beatlefan who has the facts.
@iggystompbarnyard Apparently it was. He gave it to some group named the The Fourmost who came out with it. I found it here on youtube. I also found a recording by someone named Billy Kramer and the Dakotas. Then a few minutes ago I found one I liked even better, but I can't tell who the group is and the notes are in Spanish.
The Fourmost covered this with it's Merseybeat style back in the early sixties. You can hear it on the bootleg CD (4 CD's) "The Songs They Gave Away". tracking down all the Lennon/McCartney gems given to Others like Cilla Black, Peter and Gordon, etc.
i believe this John Lennon demo 'I'm In Love' is about falling in love with Cynthia Lennon...his first wife back in the mid-60's...great post Adam of 'Revan0356'....5 stars*****
mid-60's can mean from '63 to '67 in decade year counting...i'm referring to their marriage years...not necessarily when they first met in 1960, as you contend...but good point to bring up though, when this song is about 'falling in love'! :-)
Does anyone have lyrics to this song?

They need to release this song just like they did with "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love" in the 1990's. Only, this song must kick ass.

ジョンには珍しい初期のラブソング。ファルセットボイスが魅力的ですね。
他のグループやアイドルにプレゼントしたレノン=マッカートニー作品は秀逸ですね。

I read somewhere John recorded this demo in 1963, on or about July 19. I was born that day.
