My problem with the movie is very simple, it's not about "the real Jim Morrison" but rather oliver stones idea of what he thought the doors was. He didn't show the jim that was always reading a book, or the jim who was always cracking a joke and making people laugh, or the jim who in reality did graduate college and NOT a dropped out.
