Like Jack Hixon said; Shearer & Milburn were really two different types of forwards. Shearer, especially after his pace fell off, was more of the prototypical target man: he used his strength to establish position, he battled to get up & get his head on the ball, he was very difficult to knock off the ball, etc. Wor Jackie played @ right winger & the #8 IF spot before he switched 2 the #9 pos. Jackie's game was more about pace, getting in behind the defense, etc.
