  • There was a video for this song. It was racy and hot in it's time. Someone has to have it!

  • She was awesome! In 1991 I was only 21. Sure brings back some great nostalgic memories. Todays music cant compare! ....memories of a great year...

  • Believe or not a friend in 1992 said 2 me "I'm gonna fly to USA do u want one thing" and...yes!!! I ask her the album of Stacy Earl because in Mexico City was impossible to get it. She buy me the Cassette and since then (almost 20 years) I have it like a treasure in my music collection (just like the Woman I am Chaka Khan Tape) Stacy Earl I listen constantly your album and I will always love your music specially the R&B gem Slowly and Love me all Up...Thank U for the memories...Love Poncho

  • It's me again the mexican who can't speak very well in english but I'm so thrill with the music and I can't resist to make a comment. I remember very well 1992 when the pop and dance charts was dominated by female singers. The incredible CeCe Peniston, Paula (the queen) Kym Sims, Tara Kemp and of course Stacy Earl. I always thinked that she and Paula & Mariah was brown people (I love so very much the feeling and voice of black people) but not the 3 are white or like me "not white not black" :)

  • I was only 21 when this song came out in 1991. An awesome song from an awesome singer! Sure brings back some great memories from a great year!

  • I still have her album back when i bought it in '91...along with Cathy Dennis, Tara Kemp....im now putting it on my itunes...memories...lol

  • This song reminds me of ninth grade more than any other lol.

  • I met her in person. She's White.

  • @brianjcavanaugh what has stacy earl been up to?

  • @sylicone221

Doing a little acting, but still writing, singing, producing music.

  • Love that face!

  • how did this do on the charts?

  • nothing special vocally, sort of generic.....average to slightly above average dance/pop tune....not surprised she never became a bigger pop star

  • Takes me back to my middle school years! Thanks for posting!!!! This song, as well as the CD, is VERY hard to find these days.

  • Try ebay or amazon. I got a copy for about 2 bucks.! I origionally paid like 16.00 when it first came out. =-)

  • i still have my copy! number 15 in my binder.....i love those early 90's hits...Kathy Dennis,Tara Kemp,Wilson Philips......they don't make them like that anymore.

  • To KeithWasHere1

Cathy Dennis did one of my songs from back in the day! Too Many Dreams! I got to get that as well!

I love 70's, 80's, and 90s! Yes, in that particular order! I don't know much about post 2000 music! Ah, talk about them good ol' days! Where has the society gone!

  • take me on back to 4th grade!!!

    I still love this song.

  • I wore this cassette single out!!! She was hot, too! Ahh, early 90's dance music....memories...sigh

  • I remember paying like $4 for the cassette single and it was, at the time, the most I'd ever spent on a cassette single. I was 14 so it was a big deal.

  • Yeah A lot of stuff I remember in the 90's was everything new I'd buy on CD's and then when the late 90's came..I take that back it was 94, maybe 93 whatever but I would shop there every Saturday afternoon or from school coz all I thought about was pop music and bought all that great dance stuff of late 80's early 90's stuff I couldn't buy when it was released. the singles sold at $3 which was yes a lot for a single but I'm happy to say I still got a SE cassette and surprisingly a boombox to pla

  • i remember that bein a big hit on B96 radio in chicago back in da early 90's, when I heard this song I thought it was a black girl singin, I was shock 2 c a pretty white girl on the album. I really thought this could not b her real voice, LOL, she has a lot soul in her voice 4 a white girl, LOL.

  • she's a black girl i met the artist. She is bi-racial but identifies as black. There is a white country singer with the same name.

  • r u serious? i never would have guessed.

  • No I think Stacy is white. Even so look at Taylor dayne. there's a white girl with a soulful voice or Natasha Bedingfield.

  • When I first heard this song in September of 91, right after 5th grade started, I thought she sounded like paula abdul, who was also on the charts that month with "Promise of a New Day."

  • oh god does that make me feel old....i was in hershey PA during part 5th grade in 90.

  • To KeithWasHere1

Dude, please! I was a high schooler when this came out! And I don't feel old! So, don't feel old, bro!

Dad nabbit this song is not available on downloads! :( That's quite ashame!

  • @RainbowMoon76 gimme some time and perhaps i can rip the track from cd and covert it and email it to you.

  • This song takes me back to 1991, being 11 years old, dancing around my room in my poofy polka dot dress that I wore until it fell apart.

  • I WISH I COULD FIND THIS ON ITUNES.

i has this tape in high school and played it out!

  • I have been looking for this song forever!!! This is when music was fun!

  • OMG! I had the cassette single and used to play it over and over in my '91 VW Fox. Good memories, thank you for posting!!

  • I remember this song being played on the radio in 91' & 92' . I think the music of the 80' & early 90's are better than the stuff now! :=)

  • early 90s music was definitely great! :) that was during my late teens :D

  • Hard to believe it's been nearly 20 years already since this song was a hit. Brings back memories.

  • Wow your right, it has almost been 20 years. i was in college.

  • @CS2K10

This song wasn't really a hit. "Romeo and Juliet" was the hit from that album -- Top 40, if I remember right. "Love Me All Up" and "Slowly" reached #60 or so.

  • @derekmok Actually, both "Love Me All Up" AND "Romeo and Juliet" were hits from that album. BOTH made the Top 40 (#26 and #27, respectively). And "Slowly" went to #52.

  • I haven't heard this song since 1992. I seem to only remember the chorus line though.

  • Thank you for uploading this song! It's been so long since I heard it! I actually recorded it from my radio onto an audio cassette, and those are considered obsolete nowadays.

  • No problem, i guess we all admired her on cassette. I listen on mp3's now.

  • Thanks for uploading this song man! I hated having to pop on my old cassette everytime I wanted to hear it

  • LOL! I kept my high school Walkman for the same reason.

  • And now we use Mp3 Players and iPods. :)
