Some guys just seem to like the feel of a twirly skirt when dancing. It seems to correlate with age more than sexual orientation or gender role preferences. You get used to it, just like getting used to the fairly frequent same-sex couples and the occasional reversed-sex couples (male dancing the ladies part and female dancing the gents part).
The dude in the skirt and the comment about fairly frequent same sex couples just ruined it. ugh. I hope I never run in to THAT at a square dance. Not a homophobe and I dont' hate them... it just turns the stomach.
Ok, the dancing looks like great fun...but I do NOT get the dude in the skirt. A kilt I can understand....but what's with the skirt?????
