  • whats the tuning?

  • Surely it's the bridge pickup? and not the neck..........

  • what guitar is that?

  • @TheMourningPalace it's a gibson les paul standard 1991. very good guitar

  • are you wearing a thumb pick?

  • @goodguyradio no I'm not ;)

  • Thank you for teaching me this !!!

  • very good with open tuning !

  • Hello! Great video hahaha

  • I gotta learn this one. Thanks! *****

  • Thank you for this! I am playing with a new band on the 4th of July and needed to learn this. I've watched it about 40 times now. It really helped out.

  • is it open G tuning?

  • yeah it is, fred!

    D G D G B D

  • in an interview keith's tech says it is in open g but the sixth string is removed

  • keith indeed plays open G without the 6th string. but it's only because he thinks that the 6th string is useless and gets in the way. doesn't mean you HAVE to remove it to play like him...

  • Great playing! and sound... I'd love to know... Do you know if the pickups are PAF humbucker pickups or P90s? The guitar looks like a Les Paul Traditional... if so, are the pick ups stock? What are you using for an AMP? Sound great. It would be awesome if you would post a lesson on how you play it!

  • thanks mate!

the guitar is a les paul standard dating 1991 (the model on which the traditional is based, actually), not chambered of course. pick ups are 490R/498T humbuckers and they were stock at the time. I'm using a small roland cube 30x amp, which is a great study amp with nice "classic rock" sound simulations (but on stage I use an orange rockerverb 50 and the guitar sounds way better than this of course)

  • beautiful guitar.

    and great vintage sound

  • Nice authentic sound....

    well played.

I tried an elecro acoustic slide version here.
