All three tracks are physically connected, however they are electrically isolated. Each track has it's own power supply and controller. At this point I am using the Aristo Craft "Train Engineer" units, meaning I can control one train per track. Currently I am working on upgrading to DCC, which would allow me to run multiple trains at different speeds, etc on the same track.
Should not be a problem. The track is weather and UV proof. Make sure you have proper drainage and take the rolling stock in for the night. I use Aristo stainless steel so even the coating that would occur with brass is not an issue.
I have a lockable storage shed that I use for storing the trains. My yard is totally fenced as you can see in the video, so, on occasion, I even leave them out during the night, because I'm too lazy to take them in. Knock on wood, we have had no problems during the last 20 years so far. Also, because I have so many G scale and HO scale pieces, there is a rider on my homeowner insurance policy.
This part about 4 years. I call it my "High Speed Line". The other one is my "Scenic Line", (the one on the left in the video) which goes all the way around the house.
one of the best railways ive seen in my life well done to you all.
one question, what method do you use to keep your track so clean
thanx

Is this HO scale or O Scale?
ravenclaw109 3 years ago
It's "G" scale here in the US. Stands for "Garden", seriously. In the rest of the world it's "1" scale. 45 mm between rails.
