The Canon 1Ds and the Canon 1D are two different bodies. The crop frame sensor 1D Mark 3 will do 10 fps, but the full frame 1Ds Mark 3 will only manage 5 fps.

He is correct in the speed. He said the EOS-1Ds Mark III does 5fps continuous however it is pushing 21.1 Megapixels compared to the D3 which is only 12.

To be fair they should have compared this camera to the D3x which has 24.5 megapixels. The D3x does 5fps as well and up to 7 in DX crop mode. These cameras are not marketed to the same markets. In my opinion the D3 is more for sports and the 1Ds Mark 3 is a studio Camera but that's my opinion.

Nikon d3 problems: First of the images I got from the camera were incredible, amazing clarity and the noise was hardly anywhere at 6400 compaired with previous digi's. So the final image was great really impressed.

BUT the focusing? I was shooting with a 70-200 2.8 vr and the new 24-70 2.8 lens' they refused to find focus in low light and were seeking for hours. I set the camera focus on one point ai so it would focus quicker and i could manually adjust.

Yeah the 1DS Mk III is 21 MP, that's why it's only 5 fps. The D3 only has 12 MP so it can do 9 fps because there's less information to transfer. FYI The Canon 1D Mk III shoots 10fps, which beats Nikon, obviously.
