  • Careful, in those type of water ( lakes, musky rivers, local neighborhood lakes! etc ) there have been found amoebas that are literally brain eaters. Haha. Pretty weird huh. If you get some of those in your blood stream, could be deadly.

  • @pwnslayerss pro have to worry about cottonmouths more or at least i would more than a silly snapping turtle XD

  • Fucking don't hold'em on their fucking tail

  • @PetePike1 he is holding the turtle with his left hand under the shell and guiding it with the tail, its a fucking snapping turtle after all he doesn't want it to swing around and bite him

  • @ouellette666 then he should just leave'em alone...

  • i LOVE catching turtles. There's two in particular that are about three feet long that live in the lake by my house. They always evade me, but I get some pretty good glimpses of them. But since i can't seen to get them, ive been catching the one-footers that live in the creek leading two and from the lake. it's pretty fun

  • how did u catch him without him snapping

  • HAHA... the guy's like, "Hi, How ya doin'?" You gotta love people who love turtles!!

  • u have some balls to go out there with all those freaking turtles swimming around in the water

  • omgsh I would be scared to hold that crazy thing!

  • Snapping turtles get huge in northwest Florida. I frequently fish in the Appalachicola River and in sloughs flowing into it. My fishing partner and I set out a trot line one night hoping to catch catfish....the next day we had plenty of catfish and we also had an alligator snapping turtle hooked. We captured it and brought it home. On the ride home the turtle tore out everything in the trunk of the car...mats...insulation..wiring....everything. This one weighed 105 pounds. We ate it.

  • damn redneck

  • they do taste good

  • turtle is sayin I R GUN EATTCHU!

  • I like turtles, but snappers are little fuckers they just eat the fish, baby geese and ducks they fuck so much shit up

  • Is it illegal to take one home as a pet?

  • 0:03 look at that things neck

  • i found one of those big suckers in acreek not to far from ma house

  • @27frisko for real. I like these turtles but fuck, I'd be scared as shit getting near that monster!

  • @27frisko hahahahahaah!!!!!!!! Thats hilarious dude! lol! It just caught me off gaurd, i was skimmin through comments, and I just started dying when I read yours lol!

  • @27frisko not really once he is back i the water he'll come down he knows a human to big for him

  • ya so what happens when its big brother cooms and eats ur foot!!!!!!!

  • Dude ur name is Kyle?! My name is Kyle and I'm also into herps. I find large common snapper in a stream this summer. But it was very mellow and only tried to escape when i was holding onto it's tail and the rear portion of it's carapace.

  • i traveled two and a half hours to get some new herps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow i hope my koopa gets that big!

  • I thought that thing was going to take a chunk out of your bicep at one point !

  • It did not want to bite you..... it wanted to kiss you...

  • Lol........Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!

  • i got another baby snapper.....but its the size of a quarter

  • My friend caught one bigger than that, and it had spikes on its shell. No lie, the fuckers neck was so long it can bite you backwards!

  • thats an aligator snapper than!

  • @TheKojo2661

If it had spikes it was an alligator snapper.

  • Only problem with this video I see is that you catch the turtle but stay in the water. Isn't there a chance there are probably other turtle like that in the water possible larger? I know they usually stay in one place, but they can move from time to time and turtle always think of your toes, and fingers, as food. Its a good vid but you should probably take it out of the water to safer land next time since your not looking down to much. Yeah I see the water is pretty clear

  • wow, thankfully we haven't got such turtles in germany (i hope). I have the deepest respect for them, because they can bite off a finger or something else, when you're careless. You're very brave ^^ i prefer to play and smooch with my greek tortoise

  • me and my sister would help u we catch em on the road all the time when it rains they dont scare us but were country girls so lol

  • 0:20. Bad idea. VERY bad idea.

I rear turtles and tortoises, but I have a BIG problem with these guys. I just really don't like them, simply because they can cause you some SERIOUS damage if you give them half a chance.

    Your a braver man than I. : )

I'd've preferred a nice cute Map or something to play with. xp

  • i was like 8 one time and i saw a snapper i got cocky and promtly jumped on its back and it flung me off the i grabbed by the tail and dragged it sence it was too heavy to carry an i had measured my 10 gallon fish tank earlier that day and it was 20 inches and i remembered the size and held it with my fingers spread apart and the shell beat 20 inches i was 8 and didnt think about records and let him go so man i really wish i could find him again. a true monster!

  • you jumped on a innocent animals back what kind of a brainless retard are you?

  • i was 8 and 69 pounds

  • Dude, did you not do dumb shit when you were 8? I think 75% of the decisions I made were dump.

  • wooooooooooooow

  • Sweet...so how exactly did you approach and grab this snapper? I have a clean/clear pond with 3 snappers that are about the same size as this one. I too, swim around and watch them but I haven't tried to catch one, yet :)

  • im holding a baby snapper right now O.O

  • I had a baby snapper and i can't wait to get a new one.

  • man you got balls.

    major props

  • "heavy as fuck" lol

  • did u find any alligator snapping turtles

  • hellz yeah that how u hold a snapper nice job

  • yeah, brilliant logic.. you clearly know what you're talking about

  • Lmao, nice reply ;P

  • Lol tha t is the stupidest logic i have ever heard man! I have a baby Alligator Snapper, i am gonna take care of it till it reaches 200+ pounds, i love my little guy, its either bowser or samson or tank for the name.

  • @repkyle he knows best.

  • 5sec-6sec awhh i fucked up my neck ='[ ]

  • 3sec-4sec fuck yhuu >=[ ]

  • I hate snapping turtles. The only reason is because when i was a kid it bit my fucking front plastic tire on my tricycle.. :(

  • ha owned!!!!

  • I thought you were gonna say finger....

  • looks like he can eat a shark whole

  • One happy Turtle.

  • He calls the turtle a big ass guy and a little guy.

  • i caught one a little bigger then that the other day it weighed liked 30 lbs

  • Dude, you got some cajones pulling those things out of the water with your hands. I witnessed one of those bite through the spade of a shovel.

  • I found one of these today, I was out walking around in the rain by the river, hoping I'd see something. I tried to pick it up by the tail, but it snapped at the air and scared the shit out of me so I let it be.

  • Turtle: *awsome face*

  • cool

  • At :27, the turtle is smiling.

Snapper: Put me back in the water, I'll bite your fuckin' fingers off.

  • That is one huge common snapper. No offense, but if the conditions were unfavorable for the snapper or it was injured, I would get someboby to cook that sucker up! I heard that turtle soop is really good. But great find anyway.

  • Thats about the size of the one I had in my back yard yesterday - crawled up from the lake. Almost took my hand off while trying to get it back into the water. At least 25+ lbs.

  • I read they are docile in water. I've encountered one's this big on land and they are downright nasty.

  • nice bodybuilder posing

  • *Turtle* Put me back in the water you dumb human!

  • smile

  • you found this..."little" guy?

  • oh snap!

  • If you think he crazy for being in the water with them search on youtube "The Turtleman" that should blow your mind...

Anyways I swim in Lakes and Rivers with Snappers in them im sure all the time, I'm not missing any toes... =P

  • i would not be in there......

  • yes it is!

  • god your dumb

  • yes it is a snapping turtle!

  • yea i know...i was talking to the person that said it wasnt

  • oh lol okay...

  • Yes it is. I raised mine for 15 years and it was a lil smaller than that one.

  • There was a huuuuge turtle in my backyard when I was younger and we had to call animal control in

The thing was so big that they didnt have a big enough net to catch it and they had to use one of those dog 'nooses' to catch it by the head It was really mean, it kept hissing over and over when someone would get close lool

It was probably double the size of the one he has in this video

  • I play guitar. I value my fingers!

  • I wouldn't stand in a snapping turtle/alligator infested river..

  • ur crazy that thing could bite ur finger off in that river

  • that's a big turtle

  • I've never caught one of those guys in water deep enough to swim in, just in shallow swamps. Looks like fun.

  • heavy as fuc that's funny-cool turtle though

  • hes like i will bite your face off

  • your brave, i wouldent even wanna get near that thing lol

  • the next steve irwin

  • Rofl it's smiling for the camera! =P

  • Wtf are you holding it for lol.

  • He is not saying hi. He is saying "I want to sever your nose from your face, mammal."

  • you are either really brave,or REALLY stupid!

  • FUCK THAT.

  • There was one twice this size at the park. We caught it and it diid not realy seem mad.

  • That looks like an aligator snapper without the large ridges on its back, and those things dont run away like Cdp103188 said they do, they will stand their ground if they are big enough, in California they found a 50 year old 4 foot long 100lb alligator snapper, so be careful at what your grabbin at, if u get bit by him, ur gunna need to cut its head off cus its not gunna let go...

  • it is heavey as fuck yeah rigth it is a pokemon!

  • its a pokemon!

  • Better idea, you should have found some asian restaurant looking for a bargain. I hear they pay good money.

  • you should of sold him. ones that size go for about $180 on the internet

  • um, you can get fined alot of money if ya do that.

  • wow thats giant

  • U do like, sell the turtle?

  • ummm you know your in black water you dont no whats in there........

  • Black water? I can see his shorts..... Besides, what could possibly be in there that would hurt you? Snapping turtles don't just swim up and attack, they typically retreat when they see people in the water.

  • hes like a dinosaur!

  • I want to take him home! ^_^ I love turtles no matter how dangerous they are.

  • he wants to bite somebody!

  • T___T did you pet that??

  • cool 0.0

  • there not things there children of mother nature you unbelievable prick

  • w/e, ur a pussy

  • pussy its called common sense and when ur leg gets bitten off then i will laugh at ur face.

  • i would'nt your hand any closer as i have snapping turtles in my creek and in the summer they lay there eggs but usually a fox will come around and eat them but the turtle wont charge and bite you unless ur bothering it
