Light Sith = Strength over emotions

Dark Sith = Emotions fuel strength

Light Sith = defeats Jedi then spares. Jedi rethinks their purpose.. and joins Sith

Dark Sith = defeats Jedi then kills. For the second example.. which benefits the Empire more? Killing an enemy or defeating them and converting them to our cause?

@tigasnake Lightside sith is a more progressive path. I play a dark sith but even I come across decisions I just cant pick darkside on. Lets face it they world isnt black and white anyone can be all emo im ganna gut you sith or even the other. Even the most noble of jedi made a bad decision SOMEWHERE and even an evil sith did ONE good deed.

Your assumption is flawed because it assumes that the jedi will do just that, when by their very nature are humble and only a few would actually consider turning due to pride, dark side would be more beneficial in the long run cause it eliminates threats before they can return and strike back.

Strength over emotion..lol is that suppose to be some great accomplishment? from a sith standpoint what is the point of doing anything if they can't enjoy it. If your gonna play light go fight for the jedi

@S4disticJ0k3r You really are jumping to conclusions about Light SITH. Not Light side. We also follow the Sith code, but the difference between you and me.. is that I'm not trigger happy. Yes, there are calculating Dark Sith. Darth Baras is one of them.

But to call my character's motivation flawed, you're just proving how narrow-minded you are.

I'm not about to start a lengthy debate about the choice of going Light Side to Dark in the Empire, so please reserve yourself.

You assume that just because I play a dark side sith that I'm automatically am trigger happy as if that were the only possible outcome when you even said yourself that dark side sith can be calculating and imo far more elaborate then light side sith due to the absence of morality. In order to be a light you would have to choose more light choices than dark which means that you r preserving most of the victims which I have already explained why that is flawed.

I myself believe the Jedi are absurd with their "restraining the emotions" theory. Buried emotions are simply bound to explode later on, in a critical moment. Just look at Anakin's fate. And hell, many other Jedi. Accepting the full scale of emotions, going for one's goals and yet, not lacking that healthy conscience is the right way to go, imo. Being only evil is... Bad. I'd hate to kill innocents and those who doesn't need to die. Your theory appeals to me alot more, tigasnake.

I'm not the only one that feels that lightsided choices sometimes are more evil then the dark side, but consequently making lightside choices is a mistake. You get way better equitment and the dark side vendor has some better relics, for you to use aswell.

@troldefars It seems like that, yes. Just like if you played a pubbie on Taris, you'd swear that the Republic successfully salvaged Taris... The real ending of those planet stories comes at level 31-36. Republic win over Balmorra, and the Empire drives the Republic out of Taris.

@Ctrooper2011 light side on the Empire side usually means something that's good for the Empire, not just yourself. As a republic, the dark side options are rarely evil either.

@Reyson01 That's only quarter true. Light Side options generally denote humane options although there's at least one very kind-sounding Dark Side option on the Jedi Knight path that, if you think about it, seems to show attachment rather than compassion (you're saying that you'll protect Kira).

@Blakdood1 Because Thana is an NPC who interacts with every player of the Empire. If companions are unique to their class, who would Thana go to? If I were to choose, it'd be the Sith Inquisitor. They kinda got the shaft when it comes to viable apprentices.
