I've always loved What's Happening, and Shirley is too funny especially at 20:24 and 21:08 when she says "To Cherish" and later "Oh, I'm dyin'. That's heavy ain't it Mrs. Thomas?" That's just good stuff! All along the lady in the back row is cracking up. I always laughed during this wedding scene. I miss this show.

I like Dee's in depth intuitive character. She knows how to go straight to the facts, without sugar coating. Especially, when she recognize that this woman(Lee) her Dad's fiance wore high heels to an amusement park, and burned the "roast" for dinner. I guess she was saying that this woman was not made out to be a wife, from the mouth of babes! Dee is awesome... Ms. Thomas is a better woman, but she isn't in need of a mans assitant. She has matured.
