  • het stand in stan...I am a musician and I like quirky effects on vocals and stuff....your beginning vocal part reminded me a little of Zeppelin's immigrant song...I love supporting original music....keep being creative!!

  • This song reminds me a lot of the band Muse, are you a fan?

    By the way awesome song.

  • I've never heard of them, but I'll check them out!

  • Awesome !!!!

  • i like the Immigrant Song influence there stan ol boy. classy

  • or franz ferdinand.

  • kind of reminds me of peter greens fleetwood mac a bit actually.lol.

  • Great song!!

  • Pretty Kick Ass Stan!

  • How do you record your songs

  • I use a program called "Audacity" (which isn't that great. lol)

  • Hey Standinstann, would you be kind enough as to explain how you make your recorded reviews clean with Audacity? I've been using features noise removal and high pass filter, but that pesky static still lingers. If you could help me out I'd really appreciate it. Anyway, love this so much It's on my ipod now. =)

  • Audacity isn't verry good at geting rid of static, or even recording verry well. What you've got is probably as good as its gonna get (I'm sorry to say)

  • It's cool, beggars can't be choosers. Thanks for replying stann, keep the songs & reviews coming. (Now I'm addicted to the Earth Final Conflict theme)

  • How about some death metal songs:)

  • Oh Audacity is fine.

The trick is in finding a good mic!

    I recommend a Samson CO1U condenser mic; them's the bee's knees.

  • Ah, good old Audacity...

You have to get a clear sample of the static (and NOTHING else) then highlight a segment of it and use that as the 'Noise Profile'. -Effect > Noise Removal > Noise Profile. Once you've clicked the NP button with the noise selected, deselect the noise, select the music you want to filter and run noise removal again. Set the the 'Step 2' bar to level of noise you want removed (less is better) and hit 'Remove Noise'.

    Boomdiada!

  • This was an amazing song! You should think about going tour man.

The guitar beat sounds like it could even be in Jaws!

  • woot stand in stann for the win!

  • sounds like this should be on rock band =D hahaha

    is this you?!

  • yup yup. and thank you :)

  • If you had some good instrumentation for this, instead of playing some home keyboard, it would be pretty sweet.

Also you need a few details in the sound.

  • It was a guitar, but yes, that's true.

  • "favorited" + 10 stars

  • he means badly as in EQ and levels I assume, not the music composition or performance

  • yup yup

  • Don't be so humble this is great, alot better than some youtubers that think they can play.

  • Sounds kind of led zeppelinish, good song.

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

If this is "badly" then I dont know what recorded good would be, regardless its really good. Its so good its bad, not bad bad the 80s bad that was good.
