  • That was the year I was born! Never knew how historic I was!

  • I have this DVD but didn't watch this scene that closely the first time I saw it.

The funny part is that engine 106 and 110 are the stars, but if you watch closely after the wreck one of the engines gets renumbered to 100!

  • Cool! I just bought the DVD off eBay!

THis movie was filmed in my neck-o-the-woods.

Can't wait to see it all.

Course, the wreck is fake. Model trains were used.

  • So if this was shot in your neck-o-the-woods, you are in my neck-o-the-woods. The SLOMRA and I will be at the Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival on Sept. 23rd. -Dennis

  • Oh no kidding!

I'm actually a bit North .... up in Atascadero.

  • It sure looks like model train to me anyway. :^)

  • "Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival "

Oh cool. Maybe I can pop down!

  • where can we see the whole movie???

  • Indeed! One of the finest of actors! Edward Arnold. This man was really good at his profession, and a treat as DJB. See him, also, if in a smaller part, in Lillian Russell. A marvelous voice...

  • Starring Hollywood's most unheralded leading actor of the 1930's into the 1940's, Edward Arnold. Frank Capra's favorite villan (see Meet John Doe and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington). He billed above Cary Grant in The Toast Of New York. Watch him in Come and Get It and, if you can find it, Sutter's Gold.

From one Yorkville boy to another.

  • And now...for something completely different!!!
