I would love to see more black rock. There is a message to get out there. Rap doesn't set well with alot of people, even though there is a profound message on most of them.
watched this last nite on ovation-it was good, but they just seemed pissed to not b famous-i mean, none of the bands from early 90's r that big anymore, maybe they should try to put out thier stuff for free, like bjm,and see wat happens-
afro punk was filled with a bunch of self absorbed whinners. who kept bitching about not being considered black enough....*ugh*. at first i thought i was part of that black fringe group. but now i doubt it.
In case no ones heard, theres a documentry called afro-punk that, for lack of a better phrase, documents black rockers like ourselfs. and its not just punk either. really good film by a guy named james spooner.
"The Tuareg are classified as a Berber group, and are closely related to both Northwest African Berbers and West Africans, in terms of culture and ethnicity." -From wikipedia. That sounds more African than it does Arab.
How have I not heard about this film?! This is the first time I've heard what is obvious articulated this explicitly. Now I just have to find the film.
Uh, yeah, so the Beatles owe people from Africa 500 years anything... how? It's funny that the only people complaining about the "white/blackness" of rock are in shitty bands. I sure don't see anyone complaining about Hendrix, Funkadelic, or Prince not selling records.
Because you have opened this... you will get kissed on the nearest possible Friday by the love of your life... if you don't break the chain. Tomorrow will be the best day of your life. However, if you don't send this to at least 10 people by the stroke of midnight tonight you will be forever cursed in love. Just copy and paste this.. Good Luck

Dude, don't get smart. The bottom line is that the beatles were influenced by Chuck Bery and Little Richard. Ask them yourself?
