  • I would love to see more black rock. There is a message to get out there. Rap doesn't set well with alot of people, even though there is a profound message on most of them.

  • enter a whole new world not popularly known

  • Is there anything about Bad Brains in this doc? The most influental Hardcore band of all time.

  • @Hammerfest Yes, Daryl Jennifer is in it

  • I bought your records Doug!

  • This documentary speaks the truth.

  • watched this last nite on ovation-it was good, but they just seemed pissed to not b famous-i mean, none of the bands from early 90's r that big anymore, maybe they should try to put out thier stuff for free, like bjm,and see wat happens-

  • Im not Black but Black rules on Rock n Roll!

  • black racists

  • Great documentry

  • afro punk was filled with a bunch of self absorbed whinners. who kept bitching about not being considered black enough....*ugh*. at first i thought i was part of that black fringe group. but now i doubt it.

  • I was apart of afro punk, but they act foolish to me.

  • thats right they are self absorbed after having to take in those things from the industry, and your self idiotic too

  • from Jimi Hendrix to Shingai Shoniwa Rock and Roll is Black

  • In case no ones heard, theres a documentry called afro-punk that, for lack of a better phrase, documents black rockers like ourselfs. and its not just punk either. really good film by a guy named james spooner.

this film looks good too, so im gonna see it.

  • damn right we "own" china. just like we own that pathetic shit hole canada. lol

  • I think China own Us.

  • 'the sad part of it is , rock emerged from black musical traditions", I fucking agree

  • yup, i agree. rock came from blacks, just like canadians came from Americans. you losers are still our bitches. lol

  • Sure, whatever, lol, just as long you don't beg us for money, you know you still own a trillion to china

  • tauregs aint arab you dreaming

  • for more on this subject watch: "purgatory Trailer eclipse"

  • "The Tuareg are classified as a Berber group, and are closely related to both Northwest African Berbers and West Africans, in terms of culture and ethnicity." -From wikipedia. That sounds more African than it does Arab.

  • ...

  • How have I not heard about this film?! This is the first time I've heard what is obvious articulated this explicitly. Now I just have to find the film.

  • check spacey t

  • It's about time somebody had the balls to tell the story.

  • Uh, yeah, so the Beatles owe people from Africa 500 years anything... how? It's funny that the only people complaining about the "white/blackness" of rock are in shitty bands. I sure don't see anyone complaining about Hendrix, Funkadelic, or Prince not selling records.

  • Dude, don't get smart. The bottom line is that the beatles were influenced by Chuck Bery and Little Richard. Ask them yourself?

  • @Huggins293 For Real!

  • Let the story be told! Good work.
