Yes... The problem are interferences and the low wi fi signal of the ipad. Maybe if you had a very strong wi fi router such as the airport extreme... But as I said before, the best solution would be to send the data via cable.
@pierbover I believe since the distance between the macbook and iPad is not very big it should work fine, but of course if we could have the cable option as well it would be great.
@freskiesgates Yeah, at home it works... but try it on a club with possibly hundreds of mobile phones and god knows how many smart hpones looking for a wi fi network. too many interferences for the poor ipad. I saw Nortec last year trying to do a live show with their ipads and failling because of that.The best solution would be to do it via cable.

Nice! It's a shame Apple won't let do network tethering via the USB cable. Wifi is not the most robust protocol...

@pierbover In our tests the direct wi-fi connection between iPad and mac had 3ms latency max. so it was quite good for performance!
