I upgraded my ram to 2gb as well and thinking of using vista (if it doesn't drain the battery). Did the battery life drop by a lot after using vista and is it overall as responsive as xp (for regular surfing, watching occasional movie, office work)...Thanks!
about the same responsiveness if not better. i personally love it! I would recommend everyone to upgrade to vista. I heard video card gets maxed out lower in xp than in vista. So if you upgrade to vista, there's also some advantage in video performance.
I have recently upgraded to 2gb of ram and also put the laptop onto Vista Premium however it cant run the aero theme and also movie make. How did you get these working?

it looked like you was talking about aero and dream scene and you can get it too look like aero on home basic but its lacks the aero featuers like the clear window effect and switchig between windows ;)
It isn't a wallpaper. It's a video as wallpaper :). It's a service you can only get with windows vista and it#s called "Dreamscene". But you can also do it with VLC media player "set as wallpaper" in Xp or Vista or....
