I freestyle over the beat and all of my dark child memory's hit me with tears......this song is deep if you remember all the struggle you past true in life if your still alive.......
this song really gives me perspective. i used to complain that we had 8 people in a three bedroom house and that i have three people in my room. I guess i don't realize how good i got it
They don't make joints like this no more, it hurts 2 know hip hop will never be the same again, all i have is memories, i ain't one of those cats that digs 2days so called hip hop music, i act my age when it comes 2 my ears and eye's, my actions may be off sometimes, but i cherish real shit, pplz who can spit 2 make me think and recollect the ill's of life n the hood grown up and even as bein' a full fledge adult, all that i got is memories of a better day.
Greatest Ghostface album is Ironman. Fishscale, Supreme Clientele, Pretty Toney Album etc can never step closely to it. To me it's almost as good as OB4CL.
woke up with this song on my mind .. i dedicate this to my mommy .. I LOVE YOU MOMMY!! you're so strong and i'm so glad that we've made it through!!! good morning all .. hope everyone has a blessed day :-)
@Kurotensity....I'm with U on that. Ghostface Killah, IMO, is the Marvin Gaye of Hip Hop, since the Ironman album, he's been bringing that soulful feel 2 the game

Strait classic! Many of my friends and myself went through tough times like this, our moms held it down cuz our fathers dipped on us and turned their backs on us! Although I'm not with my twin sons mother I still make sure I hold it down with quality time with em and my financial support for them ALWAYS! I never want my sons to feel the struggle I had.... Never!
Honestly, how come i can't go to an awesome song without hearing about justin beiber or lil wayne. I just want to get blown away by good music and not hear bitching about anybody else. for real cut the shit.
This song reminds me of my childhood...I am glad that I am still alive and in college. To all those going through this kind of shit, hold your head high...you can change your life and be successful. You just have to weather the storm that is poverty. Stay in school and you will see the doors opening right in front of you.
@TruStory8288 Those people that didn't like this song don't know what it is like to have to steal for a good meal, or come home from school and not have electricity, or have your mom tell you and your siblings that you might get kicked out of your house because she can't even afford to pay the rent when she is working two jobs. they don't know what it is to have to go through struggles. and thats real.
this is great.. but people saying fuck wayne, blah blah blah, its different rap. not all rap has to be deep and emotional like this. sometimes catchy club shit is good.
@DragonAurora To you and many other people, (myself included) his music is worthless garbage, but that's kind of shit most people want to hear for whatever reason.

This song touched me as a kid living in the projects sleeping on my top bumpbed pissing on my brother on the lower bed flicking roaches out the cerel box. He spoke for the whole entire ghetto. Only people who didn't have to expirence this kind of life would think it's a joke. He made me want to cry.

To the 6 dislikes kill ya self... This is music. U understand me? Didn't think so... Where's my Soulja Boy at? Words can't describe the emotion this song sparks+

It have been years since I've listened to this song. Damn....
When you go back and hear something like this track, you realize how absolutely SHIT music is today and it will never get this raw emotional and great like this again.
I'm so glad I have tracks like this I can still listen to.
I wish I could give it more than just a fuckin thumbs up.
