Do you know how long a Boeing 757 is? Try 156 feet. The camera was not far enough away to capture near that much distance and the plane was moving at such a high speed that the speed of the camera only captures the immediate impact and explosion.
i still would expect THE 'best' miliatary establishment to have better security,
604 mph (max speed of a 757) = 893 feet per second, a normal camera takes 25 frames per second, so 893 feet over 25 frames per second = 36 feet. so if a 757 is 156 feet long, there should be 4.33(rec) Frames with the plane in. That 4 frames is if the plane is next to the camera, the field of view is much wider. The camera is of poor quality.
The camera is of poor quality, but this is also by today's standards. Remember this is 2001 and there wasn't really a lot of HD out there. Also, consider the fact that this camera is designed to capture small and slow moving objects such as people and vehicles that would've already had to have gone through a security check point to get to this point anyway.
Continued: Also, FOX may have just slowed it down frame by frame so that you could see the plane, because if they played it at full speed you would've certainly seen nothing but an explosion.

Do you know how long a Boeing 757 is? Try 156 feet. The camera was not far enough away to capture near that much distance and the plane was moving at such a high speed that the speed of the camera only captures the immediate impact and explosion.

604 mph (max speed of a 757) = 893 feet per second, a normal camera takes 25 frames per second, so 893 feet over 25 frames per second = 36 feet. so if a 757 is 156 feet long, there should be 4.33(rec) Frames with the plane in. That 4 frames is if the plane is next to the camera, the field of view is much wider. The camera is of poor quality.

The camera is of poor quality, but this is also by today's standards. Remember this is 2001 and there wasn't really a lot of HD out there. Also, consider the fact that this camera is designed to capture small and slow moving objects such as people and vehicles that would've already had to have gone through a security check point to get to this point anyway.

also if you notice, there is "6" count them "6" frams of the explosion, watch some war videos that has explosions...see how long that fireball in the explosion lasts...it only lasts a mere second or two. so here they was able to get 6 photos of it. Pause the video at .53 seconds. everything is blurred, then there what appears to be a jump of frames (missing frames) because it goes blurred and dull colors then BAM bright colors with fire ( I thought maybe it was dust but dust does not clear in mear seconds). a $650 DVR takes 120FPS video signal. Are we to assume that the pentagon did not have a DVR capable of at least that resolution? Look at the whole video. You see a police car driving through the gate just before the explosion and there is what appears to be 1 frame per second. why are is there no footage from cameras on the side of the building? surely a building like the pentagon would be covered in them. This is vey dodgy stuff.
