2 questions; I had a Duncan Phoenix but the bearing broke. What should I get as a replacement? And can you do a tutorial for Excalibur (where the diabolo goes vertical)?

@gilparnon I personally would recommend the Sundia fly if you want another bearing diabolo. YoHo's are also an option, but I've not heard as many good reviews about them over the Sundia Fly's. There are a few vertax/excalibur tutorials on youtube and floating around the internet. Excalibur is hard :(

your videos are amazing to learn the chinese yoyo (or Diabolo, how we call it in Chile), but I only have one complain...

The Chiaroscuro in the image make really hard to see wath is going on. Try on next videos to be facing the light and with the camera between, instead of being back to the light.

hey dude is the Mr Babache Medium Harlequin Diabolo good for begginers like me? i can like do elevator and stuff but im not exactly pro lol. im using a crappy diabolo with plastic sticks and nylon string atm lol.

i wud recommend getting the harlequin its a pretty decent diabolo. i used when i started... it lasted along time and i could use it for quite advanced tricks.

I would continue using bad equipment until you master a diverse set of tricks under your belt that you can whip up at any time. That's what I did - I had some pretty mediocre equipment until this year. It makes you improve faster, =) But it's all up to you. Pay attention to the size of the diabolo and what other people say about it, most of them are pretty good if the reviews are good =P

To throw it, just flick your left wrist when the diabolo gets to the end of the string. Catch it on the top of the diabolo, not underneath. Hope that helps.

I don't have a video camera for a little while, so I haven't uploaded much =/ I'm going to start again soon though, don't worry.

Hard to catch? The part that you catch on top of the diabolo?

Try giving your string slack. If your string is tight when you try to catch on the top of the diabolo, you might end up hitting the diabolo downwards instead of looping around it.

This isn't really a trick that can be simplified any more and still look as aesthetically pleasing. There's only a few other monorail tutorials on youtube, but they teach it differently. This video is my personally favorite way of doing monorail that combines the best from all the other ways =)
