The parents or the policeman or the minister always asked Davey if he had learned his lesson and then told him God forgave him his trespasses. Davey wasn't too bright, because he kept getting into these scrapes. At least God forgave him, though, for he knew not what he did.
Dino said that Moral Orel was intended to be more of a parody of 50s and 60s sitcoms, but the Dave and Goliath parody element is undeniably there as well.
@jcgamer107 I'm not a big christian, but I do have to say, I agree with you. It's nice to see someone take this show and spoof it differently. Just because it's a christian show doesn't that religion is all that can be spoofed :p
But I must ask, I am not that familiar with this show yet. I went into it with a bad attitude, but from what I saw so far it doesn't seem that OVERLY religious. It teaches things about good attitude, not necessarily CHRISTIAN attitude... or did I get that wrong?
@FarelTheGecko It originally was a religious show. It was aired on Sunday mornings where I grew up. Some episodes were more overtly religious than others.

Would you kill your own kids if God asked you to? That's what happened to Abraham (Genesis 22:1-18), and Japhthah (Judges 11:29-40 NLT) except in Abraham's case God actually told him it was a "test" at the last second, but with Japhthah it was because of a stupid bet, and the daughter didn't seem to really mind being set on fire... If things like this are acceptable in the Bible, why are Susan Smuth and Andrea Yates still in jail?
lol. do you even understand what satire is? cause that's what they were doing.
they were trying to show the true nature of many of the people preaching "tolerance" using an outrageous situation. apparently it wasn't outrageous enough, though, as you seem to think it is a plausible idea.
Of course I understand sarcasm, Woner Showzen is way funnier than South Park though. Especially the Horse Apples episode, lol... Are you familiar with the phrase "Doing it 4 da lulz?"

Isnt it odd how we accept one man's perception of god over another's? How are we to believe that religious perception of god is authentic, since it is merely one man's opinion? Simply because it is written?
Now listen. This is a video of a pretty funny commercial that Mountain Dew made. I can tell you are one of those people that likes to go around, making comments, trying to start trouble, but I'm going to ask you to kindly refrain. People won't like you any more for making yourself look ignorant.
please for the love of fuck.. do not take any hallucinogenic drugs... (if you are not stupid you will know what im trying to say... if he e.g dropped acid "met god" and god told him to kill his kids.. he would probably do it.)
lol

Yeah, it's a parody of the "Davey and Goliath" show. I like this ad in that it spoofs the show in a funny way without mocking Christianity.

We've all made god in our image. Since god is imaginary, he's got many prejudices, morals, and agendas.

Abraham's faith was being tested, and in the case of Japhthah, he made an oath to God. The point is not to make promises you don't want to keep.
Now about ammoral killings... who are you to talk? You are the one that wants to round people up and gas them. Mass killings... alright in your book?
Hypocrite.

sorry, no. I tend not to watch things that arbitrarily place z's at the end of words. Especially when those words aren't even real in the first place.
And it's satire, not sarcasm. A bit different.
