Yeah, it's a parody of the "Davey and Goliath" show. I like this ad in that it spoofs the show in a funny way without mocking Christianity.

@jcgamer107 I'm not a big christian, but I do have to say, I agree with you. It's nice to see someone take this show and spoof it differently. Just because it's a christian show doesn't that religion is all that can be spoofed :p

But I must ask, I am not that familiar with this show yet. I went into it with a bad attitude, but from what I saw so far it doesn't seem that OVERLY religious. It teaches things about good attitude, not necessarily CHRISTIAN attitude... or did I get that wrong?

@FarelTheGecko It originally was a religious show. It was aired on Sunday mornings where I grew up. Some episodes were more overtly religious than others.

Would you kill your own kids if God asked you to? That's what happened to Abraham (Genesis 22:1-18), and Japhthah (Judges 11:29-40 NLT) except in Abraham's case God actually told him it was a "test" at the last second, but with Japhthah it was because of a stupid bet, and the daughter didn't seem to really mind being set on fire... If things like this are acceptable in the Bible, why are Susan Smuth and Andrea Yates still in jail?

Abraham's faith was being tested, and in the case of Japhthah, he made an oath to God. The point is not to make promises you don't want to keep.
